BRAND NEW RELEASE!!!!
DEEP INSTRUMENTAL ROOTS💥💥💥
Years ago we were lucky enough to get an incredible and uncredited Acetate with a deep instrumental cut of Satta Massagana , long story short after few weeks we got it the plate totally cracked and became unplayable. We managed to send the plate to Rome at Vinyl restoration who made a little miracle and somehow fixed it well enough for us to export a digital crackling recording of it to keep in our archives.
.
Few years later , we played the noisy recording to the great musicians from Dig This Way All Stars and we decided it was absolutely the case to attempt a modern remake of it. Thats how Abeng , Sere and Monz made the structire of the Riddim , than Rootikal Horns handled the Trombone and Sax version , Nicola Gallo did the Organ part and Jonny De Ambassador played the percussions!
The final touch is done by Yakka who mixed a couple wicked dubwises of it and Pressure Mastering that made it sounds proper!
.
The 45rpm is pressed in 250 black copies and 50 coloured wax limited editions that will be sold only thru our bandcamp page.

We at DTW's stable are happy to announce the reissue of Alphonsus Idigo’s LP ‘ Search’ 💥💥
Originally recorded in 1987 at Tabansi recorded Studio & Roger All Stars and pressed by Wilfilms, Nigeria.
You’ll find six tracks of drumcomputer driven lo-fi jams laced with catchy synth lines from the mind of producer Austine Onwurah, who was quite active in the 80’s.. The project with Mr. Idigo resulted in a highly addictive cosmic boogie album which includes four absolute highlights.
The record starts with one of the standout cuts; Flight 505, which is a tough electro/boogie crossover with vocals and sparse vocoder on top. Followed by the heavy boogie jam ‘We Got To Love’ , that is the personal favorite and a great track for DJ’s . The magnificent A-side closes with the catchy title track, again great production with top chorus and synth hook. On the flip you’ll find the wicked digital reggae tune ‘Mystic World’ with still ever relevant lyrics that closes the LP..
There is something special about this sought after record, the way the instrumentation has been played and programmed is very groovy and musical with a certain sound to it that is unmistakably Nigerian. The synth melodies weave in the tracks with ease and layers of funky bas and guitar float on top. Music that will grow on you every time you listen to it, one of the clever wonders coming from Nigeria!
Officially licensed with courtesy of the family. Carefully restored and remastered with respect to the original sound and artwork.
‘’The need to ‘Search’ has come oh’ people of the world we have taken earthly forms the wisdom of love and unity thou shall love one another for love and unity is the route of life so do I search for Love, Peace & Unity’’ - Alphonsus Idigo
Much thanks to Michel van der Meer (Bonnefooi) for the liner notes 💜 Michel van der Meer

It sounds like"Tangalang, tangalang, tangalang di pressure!..."
The rude boy both in the rocksteady era and today
as a symbol of social distress, cause and consequence of the hard-time living, this is the message between the lines recited in this new release called Rude Boy Affair.
On this song we had got the pleasure of having friends like Emilio, Ginni and Federico play the horn section and the mighty Monza at the Bass.
Carrying on the flip side we've got a special dedication to all the blues-sound lovers and a great guest as Lorenzo Mumbles Albai at the "mouth-organ" on this piece of bluesy rocksteady by the name of Rude Boy Harp-Fair.
Check both sides! ;-)
We dedicate a special thank to all the the musicians and friends involved and not least to Matteo "El Condor" Serenelli and the studio of Albero Musicale to provide costantly all the necessary support during the recording sessions...cooperation is the key to let the music shall live to let the music live and grow as freely as possible

Adenrele Joloasho formed an Army Band with his good friend Sh*ttu, named NARG (Nigerian Army Rhythm Group) FUNK. They used to call themselves a Dance Band and not a Parade Band because as they performed they danced through some crazy choreographed moves. They released few singles on Philips and Polydor then in 1976 finally came the LP Album on Coconut. The now late Sh*ttu at the time lead the group and also played alto sax while Adenrele Joloasho arranged the music and directed the musicians while singing and playing guitar. The Album consists of a new arrangement of the hit Akiti and new songs in line with the musical trend of that time, Afro-Beat! Here is a little preview of the track Mo Gbayo De, while you can listen to the full Akiti on our bandcamp page !!! Link in bio 💛

!!! BRAND NEW RELEASE !!!!
Nigeria is known as ‘The Giant of Africa’. It's the most populated country in Africa with more then 250 ethnic groups and many different languages and dialects that gives
the country a rich diversity. This diversity also affects music - which plays an important role in every aspect of social life.
We at DTW's stable are happy to announce the reissue of "Narg Funk Machine", an explosive Nigerian "black beat" disco originally released on Coconut in 1979. If you are looking for something weird, you've found it. Basically, these four tracks well represent the tangle of richness of Nigerian music from that era. They are a melting pot of styles and sounds: afrobeat, funk, highlife, juju, and psych rock are mixed together in a cozy and captivating sound, ready to bring some warmth and hypnotic sound to dance
floors around the world.💥💥💥
