Lunch all’aperto - just the boys

One of the many things I love about Italy 🇮🇹 is the freedom of the younger people have. This table was only young men - no adults in sight

Liguria Life - Sun, Sea, Views & a Vespa 😘

Do you know that I’ve still never been to Cinque Terre? I know, crazy!

But …

I love traveling north of Cinque Terre to places like and so many others along that train line

Being able to go to free public beaches, experience less tourism (sometimes), wander among the open air markets for fruits 🍎 & veggies and beautiful clothes, and sit on a promenade along the sea eating a focaccia and prosciutto panino is 🔝

Don’t get me wrong, CT is still on the list but not yet 🤔

Have you tried it? 🌵

Easy train travel is now a MUST HAVE in my life. I was just talking to a friend who lives in the States and she asked me what I couldn’t live without after living in 🇮🇹 for a while. Food? Landscape? Clean air & water? Cost of living? Reasonable airfare throughout Europe? Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes + more 😘 But the first thing that came to mind was 🚂 travel and the ease and comfort. I can literally be sitting in a cafe in my mountain village in the morning and on the Amalfi Coast by lunch 🦞 (or Rome or Puglia) After traveling outside of Italy for the past 6 months for long periods of time, it makes me appreciate it so much more

If I could, I’d kiss every dog, I just want to squish their faces …

I miss those two so much (first two photos) but I will continue squishing random dogs faces 🫠

Italy Slow Life Series 106: Sunsets and Views

As much as I love to travel, I miss this view

Then when I’m home 🇮🇹, I’m longing to travel. It now takes me about a month before I start looking at flights again. But when on the road, I miss my bed, my kitchen, friends, folks in town, daily way of life. The circle ⭕️ is circling

Is there a word for this? The back and forth of it all? (I feel like there has to be a very specific Japanese or German word for this)

If you could travel whenever you wanted, would you travel …

1. Every month
2. Every 6 months
3. Once a year
4. Stay-cation

Slow Life in Italy Series 105

The sounds of the church bells in Piazza San Filippo will always remind me of home

The different rings for mass, funerals, weddings, lunchtime, evening, and holidays are distinct and I can finally recognize them (it took a me a bit)

I remember when I first moved to Italy 🇮🇹 and the bells would go off several times a day near my home. It annoyed me at first, but now it’s a comfort. Sitting on my balcony and hearing the bells is my favorite place to be
