It is a Vibraphone, a magical instrument, it invites you to play it even if you do not have the knowledge to do it, it is playful in an almost childlike way but it is also and above all a great source of ideas and inspiration for our musicians, iconic. Ours is a Yamaha XY series widely used in Jazz and soundtracks as well as in classical and pop music as a riff maker, it is practically very versatile despite the many peculiarities and also very sampled and present in the libraries of many Producers and musicians. I would add that it is also very nice to see 🤩

Vibraphone, Xylophone, Marimba, are part of the same family but the Vibraphone is the youngest, invented in NY in 1921 it is the only one of the three to have the matching bars in metal, Marimba and Xylophone have the matching bars in wood.

Butterflies symbolize rebirth, transformation, hope, courage, beauty but also the inconsistency of happiness.

Their metamorphosis has always amazed men and i love to associate that metamorphosis to the creative process of a song.

I like to think that what is happening in the world currently is an ugly Larva that implodes to turn into a Wonderfull Butterfly, it is a hope and a wish, in the meantime let's enjoy these first warm days of spring.

In recording studios we love to talk about audio p**n, it is nothing but fetishism in a nerd key and boundless love for the objects we use every day.

has always produced ribbon microphones of absolute value, a legendary brand that has never compromised, a legendary brand!

This is an , personally I think it is a Ribbon with a touch of modern sound when compared to the classic Ribbon Mic, this feature makes it incredibly universal in every field of application. Personally I love it in Guitars, Voices, Brasses, Pianos, Percussion.

Going back to the concept of audio p**n I have to say that this microphone has a really sexy look.

It pretty suggest to wear electrostatic glowes using Ribbons and they will have a long and beautiful life.

how much love do we feel for this pair of legends, Danelectro 63 and Danelectro 59 Twelve strings. Unique sound, a brand I would say, if I am looking for a soft and clean sound they are almost always among the first choices I make with musicians during the recording sessions.

It is a 1964 AKG D12, although it has been discontinued since 1978 is still considered one of the best microphones for recording the kik drum. Sounds like a cushioned low frequency cushion, it's just gorgeous. The curiosity is given by the fact that it had to be a microphone for live vocals in particular but was little used in this field of applications. In the studio I use it when I'm looking for depth on low frequencies, kik, bass cab, guitar….always with a lot of sound and love.

It s a Geffel Pm860, there is a long story to tell about this unique and rare Michrophone. Designed and produced by Mikrofontechnik Gefell ( Soviet Est German ) at the end of 1986, financed by the GDR government.
The chrome plated ceramic capsule with its spring shock mounting was cutting edge technology. Even today the capsule design of this microphone remains unusual and distinctive.
A limited number have been produced, ours seems to be number 691 out of 900.

In the studio it performs well on all instruments but personally I love it particularly on the snare drum, especially if I'm trying to give the sound a dark, smooth, vintage character.

Ours is a Rhodes Mark I, built in the twentieth week of 1977 as we read from the internal press, 2077 means exactly week number 20 of 1977.
In the digital age it is one of the most sampled sounds present in the libraries of all producers and musicians, personally I prefer if possible to have the real sound of this magic piano.
