Dear folks,
Fine China Superbone, the mighty noise-rock trio hailing from The Netherlands, comes back with a twisted bunch of new songs injected with raw intensity and ironical slant as well!
Each of the 10 songs is a true banger on its own, and the whole record will hurl you into the weirdo-dimension of HUNK starting from the very artwork, created by Serbian artist Iva Spasojević (aka EKS Graphics)!
The record title stems from a pun, a mix between the word “Hunk” - the despicable hyper-muscular and crass stereotyped man depicted in the artwork who seems to come straight out of the 80s though unfortunately current, and “Henk” – perhaps the most common first name one might come across in the Netherlands: the average man on the street, the Italian “Mario Rossi” or British “John Smith” - a combination which perfectly embodies and reflects the brutalizing and distorted sound of the band while openly making fun of the macho-attitude/tough kind of guy at the same time.
Recorded in London at Bear Bites Horse by producer Wayne Adams and enriched by a guest vocal appearance of Eric Paul from Arab On Radar / Doomsday Student / Psychic Graveyard, “HUNK” is out on Sept. the 15th on digital, vinyl and cassette format through Vollmer Industries (IT), Sonatine Produzioni (IT), Whosbrain Records (FR) and Rat Run Records (UK)!!

il mitico noise-rock trio olandese Fine China Superbone ritorna in scena con una nuova manciata di pezzi fuori di testa a suon di riffoni distorti e ironia malata!
Non c’è una sola delle 10 canzoni che non sia una mazzata, e il disco vi scaraventerà sin da subito nella stramba dimensione di HUNK, già a partire dall’artwork, creato ad hoc dall’artista serba Iva Spasojević (aka EKS Graphics)!
Il titolo è un gioco di parole tra il termine “Hunk” – ovvero “fusto / bellimbusto”, il cafone tutto muscoli raffigurato in copertina che sembra arrivare dritto dritto dagli anni ‘80 ma purtroppo ancora tristemente attuale – e “Henk”, il nome proprio più comune in Olanda, un po’ come il nostro “Mario Rossi” o uomo qualunque, in una combinazione di significati che ben riassume e riflette il suono brutale e distorto della band e allo stesso tempo si prende apertamente gioco della figura del macho.
“HUNK” è stato registrato a Londra presso lo studio Bear Bites Horse dal produttore Wayne Adams e vanta in un brano la collaborazione speciale di Eric Paul degli Arab On Radar / Doomsday Student / Psychic Graveyard alla voce! Il disco uscirà in formato digitale, vinile e cassetta il 15 settembre su Vollmer Industries (IT), Sonatine Produzioni (IT), Whosbrain Records (FR) e Rat Run Records (UK)!!
