The Italy Percussive Arts Society is a cultural -non profit -association that promote percussion education, research, performance and appreciation about the world of percussion instruments. organizes two important events: the "Italy Percussion Competition" and festival "Days of Percussion"

"Italy Percussion Competition" is an international contest for Marimba, Vibraphone, Timpani, Snare Drum, Dru

m Set and Composition for Percussion Instruments. "Days of Percussion", also known as Giornate della Percussione, is an international festival in which the Italy Percussion Competition takes place and consists of masterclasses, clinic, laboratory, showroom and concerts. The Artistic Director is M° Antonio Santangelo. includes the publishing house "Italy Percussion Edition"

These are the competitors of the 21st edition of the ITALY PERCUSSION COMPETITION / online 2024 who will be heard in the FINAL.
Of the 160 participants, 53 students made it to the finals in this order:

• VIBRAPHONE Classic: cat. A/3 - cat. B/7 - cat. C/1
• VIBRAPHONE Jazz: cat. J/4
• TIMPANI: cat. A/2 - cat. B/3 - cat. C/2
• SNARE DRUM: cat. A/4 - cat. B/5 - cat. C/2
• MULTI PURCUSSION: cat. A/1 - cat. B/3 - cat. C/--
• DRUM SET: cat. A/2 - cat. B/2 - cat. C/1

Askell Másson (Iceland), Julie Spencer, Richard LeVan (USA) , Carlos Passeggi (Argentina) and Carla Magnan (Italy), announces the names of the winners of the twenty-first edition of the contest for composers. Congratulations to all the winners and non-winners, for their commitment and great professionalism.

Italy PAS: PAWC 2024
These are the competitors who will be heard in the third phase by the Jury. In this edition there are students registered from Italy, Spain, Armenia, Croatia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Ecuador, Germany, Ukraine, Venezuela, Hungary.
Now the commission composed of 20 percussionists will listen to and evaluate their performances. The names of the 2024 winners will be announced at the end of September. Good luck to everyone 🤞
