The album proposes the characteristic sounds of the Sicilian duo which confirms their peculiar vision of electronic experimentation between ambient, industrial and IDM; these styles are used for the soundtracking of liminal territories, metaphysical landscapes that unfold in often alienating and disturbing interior spaces.
CAERDROIA is the story of a soul who vanished, due to a disturbance in the radio signal, after lunch on a foggy Sunday in the woods of the Etna volcano. It, lost to itself - and to the world - in a psycho-temporal labyrinth (what isn't?) there are fleeting appearances during the opening of the first seal at the perihelion of C/1843 D1, under a famous bridge of Ancient Rome, in that narrow passage in the peculiar rock formation of southern Australia and, in more recent times, in a fashion show gone wrong, organized in a diaphanous asylum, open to the cruel sky of 2001. The question is: is there reason to return to the world? (Net of the heartbreaking melancholy that permeates the entire creation).
CAERDROIA, will be distributed exclusively in digital format on Bandcamp and on the main streaming platforms and digital stores.

dalla UKhan Records, “CAERDROIA”, primo LP dei For The Glory Of Nothing, album che segue l'EP d'esordio del 2021 “Garmonbozia”.
L'album ripropone le caratteristiche sonorità del duo siciliano che conferma la propria peculiare visione della sperimentazione elettronica tra ambient, industrial e IDM; tali stili vengono utilizzati per la sonorizzazione di territori liminali, paesaggi metafisici che si dipanano in spazi interiori spesso stranianti e perturbanti.
CAERDROIA è il racconto di un'anima svanita, a causa di un disturbo del segnale radio, nel post pranzo di una nebbiosa domenica tra i boschi del vulcano Etna. Di questa, perduta a se stessa -e al mondo- in un labirinto psico-temporale (cosa non lo è?) se ne riscontrano fugaci apparizioni durante l'apertura del primo sigillo al perielio della C/1843 D1, sotto un famoso ponte della Roma antica, in quel passaggio stretto nella peculiare formazione rocciosa del sud dell'Australia e, in tempi più recenti, in una sfilata di moda finita male, organizzata in un manicomio diafano, aperto al cielo crudele del 2001. La questione è: vi è motivo di tornare al mondo? (Al netto della straziante malinconia di cui è intessuta la manifestazione tutta).

In this concept work NCT333 explores the roots of southern Italian folk music by recovering its sacral origins linked to the Mysteries cults of the Ancient Greece, accordingly to his own stylistic features.
The hypnotic rhythms of tarantella, pizziche and tammuriate merged into NCT33 industrial / ambient’s style creates a sort of introspective techno / ambient / folk with a shamanic attitude.
The author's intent is to unlock a path to retrieve the sacredness of dance as a mean to the catharsis and the ascetic ecstasy, typical of the "Traditional" societies, way far from the modern function of dancing as an anodyne daze.
This work attempts to show the link between the taranta’s bite to the alchemical dragon’s one "that does not heal, an incurable wound that cannot be cured on the quaternary level, stilted to the eternal cyclical flow, requiring a heroic and tragic ascetic path in a straight line, where dance becomes a symbol of struggle between opposite phenomenical poles and the sexual magic is a way to the supreme synthesis.
This the reason why the phenomenon of tarantism can be found, in the process of Christianization, under the aegis of the "Gnostic" St. Paul.

Una delle più grandi motivazioni che spingono l'essere umano ad abbracciare uno strumento musicale o urlare dentro un microfono è il bisogno famelico di esprimersi attraverso l'atto più alto e sano possibile, discostandosi così dalla becera strumentalizzazione che imperversa nelle intemperie sociali di questo periodo storico. Motivo per cui quando incontri un artista che mette nero su bianco le proprie visioni della realtà circostante e che, attraverso la propria proposta sonora, ricerca l'essenza e il contatto atavico tra la sua terra d'origine e il proprio impulso sonoro, sei come spinto a voler raccontare tutti gli aspetti di un progetto del genere. Ma non per fare un racconto che poi rimanga intrappolato nelle pieghe di un foglio, quanto piuttosto per invitare alla riflessione circa la necessità di ritornare a vivere di quel pulviscolare contatto tra noi e le nostre radici, e così staccarci da una materiale imposizione del c***o sociale che ci vuole ciechi, muti e aridi di sapere.
Quando mi sono approcciata ad ascoltare il progetto musicale di NCT333 , musicista siculo appartenente al circuito ambient/industrial italico, ciò che mi ha piacevolmente ammaliato è proprio l'incontro tra le sue pennellate industrial/ambient unite ai colori e ai sapori della Sicilia bedda, che da anni dona al circuito underground orde di artisti talentuosi. Dietro al progetto si cela Enrico Anicito, compositore siciliano attivo sin dai primi anni 90, che dopo una serie di lavori dark ambient, negli ultimi anni ci ha abituato a lavori tanto audaci quanto corposi, sempre spinti da un sentito legame con la sua terra, celebre culla esoterica di tanti misteri e nenie ancestrali.
Da circa due anni NCT 333 ha iniziato un nuovo percorso musicale, che vede il sodalizio con la UKhan Records e la pubblicazione di due dischi (Aion e Controra), entrambi focalizzati sull'unione tra sacralità e liberazione dall'ego, usciti a ridosso della pandemia, periodo in cui l'essenza primordiale del vivere è stata messa a dura prova. Last Summer of Cicadas" è il suo ultimo lavoro, il terzo per la Ukhan Records, pubblicato lo scorso 21 giugno. Il compositore catanese in questa sua nuova fatica, un concept incardinato su dinamiche sonore della musica folcloristica dell'Italia meridionale, si impegna in un vero e proprio atto recuperativo di quelle sonorità che nella sua primordiale riconnessione vibrano dentro i culti della Magna Grecia. In un percorso sussultorio distribuito su quattro brani, il musicista catanese con i suoi fraseggi sonori dark ambient, pennella scorci vibranti di un angolo di passato che ritorna. Gli inserti di taranta e tammurriata, spiazzano il cuore e aprono ad un ascolto avvolgente, senza confini delineati, in un crescendo continuo che sfocia in un coinvolgimento emotivo totale.
L'artista, perno centrale del disco, si pone come traguardo quello di abbandonarsi alla conoscenza dell'arte, della danza e della sua inviolabile essenza, intesa come veicolo per la purificazione dell'anima dalle infauste imposizioni mentali e sociali e come sublimazione mistica del nostro sé.
Il tutto immerso dentro un universo abitato da visioni mitiche, legate tra loro da un originale filo acustico e compositivo che lega il morso della taranta al morso del drago alchemico, l'Uroboro simbolo di ciclicità, di unità dell'eterno ritorno.
"Last Summer of Cicadas", affonda le sue radici nella totale riconnessione tra essenza e presenza, focalizzandosi su di una costruzione sonora volitiva ed evoluta, con tracce tribal ambient come "The Bite among orange blossom", dove suoni lunghi e oscuri si evolvono in suoni più acidi e sonici e in cui i tamburi la fanno da protagonista tra atmosfere sognanti e riverberi psichedelici.
Suadente e decadente, la traccia "The struggle, a Goat Hoof", racchiude perfettamente ciò che questo ep intende rappresentare, ovvero il senso ciclico della danza e del drago alchemico, ribadito da suoni circolari, riverberi allungati e da percussioni che ricordano i sensi liberati da ogni infrastruttura come nella taranta.
Come dentro ad una spirale, si conclude con "Another Sunset (Where we rise)", traccia serpeggiante ed eterea, colma di atmosfere sinuose e mistiche che toccano le vette sonore simil post punk e new wave.
Un viaggio all'insegna della riscoperta dell'essenza perduta tra gli incastri di una modernità votata al materialismo. Un lavoro che fonde assieme una raffinata ricerca sonora con un' intensa presa di coscienza interiore.

Last Summer of Cicadas, il nuovo EP di NCT333, sarà pubblicato il 21 Giugno 2022 dalla UKhan Records.
Il compositore siciliano, NCT333, in questo nuovo concept EP esplora le radici della musica folkloristica dell'Italia meridionale tentando di recuperarne, secondo i suoi stilemi, l'origine sacrale che la lega ai culti misterici dell'antica Grecia.
I ritmi ipnotici di , e calate nel contesto della produzione di NCT333 danno vita a una sorta di ambient introspettivo dal piglio sciamanico.
L'intento è quello di aprire un sentiero verso il recupero della sacralità della danza, propria delle società “Tradizionali”, intesa come mezzo di catarsi e via per l'estasi ascetica, lontano , quindi, dalla funzione di stordimento anodino alla quale questa è stata relegata nella società moderna.
Così si tenta di tracciare un legame tra il morso della “taranta” e quello del drago alchemico “che non si cicatrizza”, ferita insanabile che non trova cura sul piano quaternario, sottomesso all'eterno fluire ciclico, e che necessita di un percorso eroico e tragico d'ascesi in linea retta, dove la danza diventa simbolo di lotta tra i poli opposti della manifestazione e la magia sessuale via per la sintesi suprema. In tale quadro, forse si può anche azzardare l'idea che non sia un caso il fatto che, nel processo di cristianizzazione, il fenomeno del tarantismo infine si ritrovò sotto l'egida dello “gnostico” San Paolo.
Da questi presupposti, il nuovo lavoro di NCT333 tenta di aprire un varco verso un percorso d'indagine musicale, culturale e spirituale che in quest'epoca di paradossi potrebbe rivelarsi congeniale a coloro che, ancora non del tutto sopiti, si tengono in piedi tra le rovine.

Il compositore siciliano NCT333 in questo nuovo concept EP esplora le radici della musica folkloristica dell'Italia meridionale tentando di recuperarne, secondo i suoi stilemi, l'origine sacrale che la lega ai culti misterici dell'antica Grecia.
Lo fa aggiungendo alle sue architetture sonore ritmi ipnotici di tarantelle, pizziche e tammuriate.
L'EP comprende difatti brani tribal ambient (The bite among orange blossom), la folktronica distopica di Hunting they want my seed , tarante elettrificate (The struggle, a goat hoof), brani synthwave ancestrali (Another sunset - where we rise)
Come viene dichiarato nella press release : "L'intento è quello di aprire un sentiero verso il recupero della sacralità della danza, propria delle società “Tradizionali”, intesa come mezzo di catarsi e via per l'estasi ascetica, lontano , quindi, dalla funzione di stordimento anodino alla quale questa è stata relegata nella società moderna.’"
Ne viene fiori un album insieme solare ed esoterico, che mi ha ricordato le atmosfere del film Midsommer del 2020. Li si era in Svezia, qui in Sicilia, ma l'obbedienza alle leggi cicliche del mondo sono comuni al patrimonio culturale e folcloristico del sud e del nord d'Europa.
L'EP è presentato in questo modo dalla press release: "Si tenta di tracciare un legame tra il morso della “taranta” e quello del drago alchemico “che non si cicatrizza”, ferita insanabile che non trova cura sul piano quaternario, sottomesso all'eterno fluire ciclico, e che necessita di un percorso eroico e tragico d'ascesi in linea retta, dove la danza diventa simbolo di lotta tra i poli opposti della manifestazione e la magia sessuale via per la sintesi suprema.
