Ho avuto il piacere di ascoltare l'album "ODI et AMO"

Ascoltando sia tutto d'un fiato sia approfondendo le singole tracce.

Ciao, io sono Shoujy, un cantante italiana ispirata dal Visual Kei e dalla musica giapponese.

L'album si presenta con una storia fantasy che mi ha veramente colpito per il suo carattere romantico ma anche assolutamente drammatico, incontrerete un mago/scienziato che sperimenta su di lui forse la magia più potente: l'Amore per una regina.

Una dimensione parallela.
Il suo f***e tentativo di conquistarla.
Ci riuscirà?
Non voglio farvi spoiler, ma voglio raccontarvi come mi è sembrato l'album dal punto di vista musicale.

L'inizio delle danze lo possiamo già pregustare guardando tutto il team di produzione formato da musicisti di alto livello e di grande esperienza.
"ODI et AMO" è densa di teatralità e dramma che mi hanno accompagnata dall'inizio alla fine come un vero e proprio racconto musicale.

La voce di Gianluca Mastrangelo Maracas mostra un'estrema versatilità tecnica, spaziando tra i vari range vocali adornati da una grande artisticità.
Una voce che ti accompagna e ti prende entrando nel mondo di questo concept fantasy.

Alla batteria di "Somewhere" un inconfondibile John Macaluso che attraverso la sua precisione e incastri sapienti crea un vero e proprio cuore pulsante.

Dino Fiorenza con il suo basso si intreccia con la chitarra di Luca Montella in un vero tappeto musicale dove tutto scorre in maniera equilibrata ma allo stesso tempo intensa!

Presente nella prima e seconda traccia di "ODI et AMO" Giuseppe Iampieri (Mistheria) il re dell'atmosfera!
Tutto l'ambiente e i momenti clou vengono proposti in maniera chiara, quasi come un viaggio ad occhi aperti!

Francesco Stoia presente nella terza traccia "King and Slave".
Un basso che esalta perfettamente il punto tortuoso e faticoso della storia.

Fulvio Spada in "You and I" con un basso sensibile e intenso che segue passo dopo passo un arco struggente del concept.

Valerio Manca presente dietro alla batteria dalla seconda traccia fino alla fine dell'album, mantiene un tiro e una grande esecuzione tecnica senza sfigurare, rimanendo coerente con il sound della band riuscendo a garantire un supporto ritmico eccelso.

Giacomo Tomasso aggredisce la chitarra in "Dance For me" con dei ritmi serrati che creano un muro sonoro titanico!
L'esecuzione tecnica è precisa ma senza disdegnare fraseggi melodici interessanti anche nella parte solistica.

Francesco Mattei ci travolge con il suo solo dalla consistenza liquida e dal suono legato, passionale!

Ivano Salvatori presente nelle tracce "Nightmare" e "Cry of the loneliness" dove ci regala un basso avvolgente, incastrato perfettamente insieme alla batteria in un tripudio di sonorità gotiche presenti in questi due brani.

Rimanendo sulla canzone "Cry of the loneliness" in duetto insieme a Gianluca Mastrangelo ci viene presentata Arianna Marciano con una vocalità che ci porta nelle profondità oscure attraverso una incredibile modulazione e gestione dinamica impeccabile.
Tutto viene accompagnato perfettamente con la voce di Mastrangelo, enfatizzando al massimo il dramma.

Ho molto apprezzato Marko Pavic nella traccia "a new begin" dove entra in scena con una chitarra davvero Heavy Metal in tutti i sensi, dal suono e dall'attitudine davvero coinvolgente, puro metallo!

Grande collaborazione tra il basso di Gianluca Mastrangelo Maracas e di Eric Xander per un suono gigante e monolitico!

Luca Basile apre un nuovo capitolo del concept in p***a magna nella traccia "You and I" sviluppando un'orchestra drammatica con sfumature melanconiche, si passa da momenti davvero forti ed intensi fino a sfociare in un'orchestra quasi sospirata, davvero dinamica!

Chiude le collaborazioni Andrea Campisano in "Fire In the Sky" dove sfodera la sua chitarra in un solo dal gusto neoclassico pur rimanendo comunque moderno.

Menzione speciale va alla produzione del disco mixato da Francesco Mattei agli Underworld Studio, riuscendo a creare un sound coerente per l'intero album nonostante le numerose partecipazioni.

È stato un piacere e un onore poter ascoltare "ODI et AMO", essendo una persona che ama le storie ho apprezzato la stesura dell'intera opera.

Invito tutti all'ascolto di questo album e al supporto della scena metal in Italia dove sono presenti tanti artisti di altissimo calibro.
