"When we entered the studio - says Michelangelo -, I heard Rupert in the other room playing this very 'soulful' chord progression. Almost instinctively, we grabbed our instruments, perhaps a bit tired after all the complicated notes played in the days before; we just wanted to enjoy the music and the opportunity to share a moment together. I remember the melody came out almost magically, as if it had always been there, like a sculptor tasked with bringing a figure out of a block of marble.
Was there only a need for someone to see it to bring it to light?
I don't know.
I am certain, however, that the decision to entrust the lyrics and vocals of the song to the Swedish artist Liselotte Ostblom was absolutely spot-on. Once again, everything flowed very quickly. After two hours of discussing the project and sending the audio to Lis, a file arrived on my computer. The song was so complete, created and structured, as if by magic, emerging from the shadows that had enclosed it."
