Frostbiter: Icelandic Horror Film Festival

Frostbiter: Icelandic Horror Film Festival Horror Film Festival in Akranes, Iceland. Frostbiter: Icelandic Horror Film Festival is an international horror film showcase.

We are searching for interesting new talents in the horror film genre. Iceland has a history that spans over a thousand years and a history of storytelling just as long. Through Viking Sagas and folktales we encounter many supernatural creatures; ghosts, elves, trolls and even the Devil himself. The cold, harsh scenery of this island is a great source of inspiration for magical beings. During the

summertime the sun does not set and we are blessed with brightness 24 hours a day. However, during wintertime the darkness surrounds us all day and everybody knows that in the darkness, evil awaits…. Frostbiter: Icelandic Horror Film Festival is set in November in the town of Akranes. We decided to have the festival international so we could be inspired by filmmakers from around the world and also in hopes that international filmmakers will visit Iceland and be inspired too.

After being betrayed by his treacherous sister Antoinette and pharmaceutical big shot Big Al, scientist Prospero Duke swears revenge.

Shakespeare's Sh*tstorm is an American musical comedy horror film written and directed by Lloyd Kaufman. Produced by Troma Entertainment, it is a contemporary parody of William Shakespeare's The Tempest.

Shakespeare's Sh*tstorm will be screened at our meat soup screening party tomorrow night at 8 pm with special guest Bjarni Gautur who played The Captain in the film and he will answer some of our guests questions after the screening.

Bjarni Gautur aka GasMask Man is a satirist and a filmmaker from Iceland that performs both hip hop and comedy live. He has worked in film production with companies like Troma Films on a number of projects as well in their infamous street promotions in New York, USA and Cannes, France. In stand up he has opened up for Gary Anthony Williams, Ari Eldjárn and Zac Amico. He is also wanted by the Hague for war crimes in Syria. He currently resides in Aleppo. Or so he claims allegedly in jest.
