King “NASER” goes to FRANCE… AGAIN!

A TALE FROM NATURE!

“The Dragon's Treasure” has been selected in the WIP section of the ITFS Festival, Stuttgart, bringing Hoorakhsh Studios another achievement!

(ITFS), one of the world’s most notable animated film festivals, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

The animated feature is based on a Persian folk tale, Directed by Ashkan Rahgozar, and produced at Hoorkhash Studios with the collaboration of .studio and Littledreampictures.

The Dragon's Treasure is the story of a teenage girl who goes on an adventure to fight the dragon and bring back water to her homeland.

“Omid Nemati”, the main vocal of the Pallett band, has sung a track for the "Juliet & the King" animation.
"Juliet & the King" is an animation in the comedy-romantic genre, which is about the historical events of the formation of theater in Iran.
Premise: The story follows “Naser al-Din Shah Qajar”, ruler of Iran, as he embarks on a trip to France.
There, he falls for a young theater actor and invites her back to his country in the hope of winning her heart.
The production of this animation has started since 2016 and will be ready to be shown by the summer of 2023. "Juliet & the King" by Ashkan Rahgozar is the third animated film to be produced in Hoorakhsh Studios after "The Last Fiction" and "The Dragon's Treasure".

TriArtist Event

The Tri-Artist is an making Event that is held every year with the aim of motivating and better understanding of the abilities of ’ artists.

This year the event will be held in the form of making in software. Toon Boom Company will be with us as a in holding this event. Special gifts and free training courses will be offered to those who are interested and selected.

Contest conditions
- Making animation will be anthology. Anthology is a method of collaboration between artists in which artists create a work of art with a single theme and framework.
The Scenario is as follows:
- A coin comes into the scene from the right. Here something happens to the coin based on creativity and style of each artist. Then it leaves the scene from the left.
We match the animations and make a whole one. Here the coin will work as a connector between the animations.
(The coin enters exactly from the center of the image on the right and exits the center of the image on the left.)
- The final work should be between 5 to 10 seconds.
- The video must be 1080 x 1920 horizontal in MP4 format.
- You are only allowed to use Toon Boom to create animations.
- Deadline for submitting works is January 10, 2022

is one of the Jury members in Fantasia International Film Festival.

Writer and director Ashkan Rahgozar was selected as one of the jury member of the section in the Fantasia Montreal International Film Festival.

The world’s largest genre film festival, Montreal’s mammoth Fantasia Fest, has a section, devoted exclusively to animation, and will crown one film each year with the juried Satoshi Kon Award for Acheivement in Animation. The award is, of course, named after the recently deceased master of anime, best known for films like “Tokyo Godfathers” and “Perfect Blue.”

Ashkan Rahgozar, along with two other animation , Hefang Wei from France and Kalp Sanghvi from India, will judge the animations.

During the festival, the next project of each of the jury members will be introduced to buyers and distributors.

The animated feature " " written and directed by Ashkan Rahgozar will be introduced for the first time in this festival and the short animation "Jebeer" produced by will be shown to the audience of this festival.
The International Fantasia Film Festival, 2021, will be held online from August 5 to 25 in Montreal due to the outbreak of the Corona virus.

We are glad to be present at Annecy International Animated Film Festival and Market, 2021 with our next project “The Dragon’s Treasure”.

After our first film “The Last Fiction” that was recognized among the critics, with the support of the Mifa Pitches in 2013, Now we are ready to talk about our next project.

“The Dragon's Treasure" along with seven other animated features from around the globe is going be present during the Mifa Pitches. The pitches were selected from a total of 433 submissions from all over the world of which only eight works entered the Feature Films section.

The animation tells the story of an 8-year-old girl named Sayeh who goes on an adventure in search of the dragon's treasure to save her grandmother's village from drought. But she doesn't know that the real treasure is water.

Regarding this project, Ashkan Rahgozar says: “the only reason that motivated me to step into this journey is my country’s greatest threat. WATER!”

"The Dragon's Treasure", an animated feature by Ashkan Rahgozar, made its way to the Mifa Pitches at The Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

"The Dragon's Treasure", an animated feature by Ashkan Rahgozar, made its way to the Mifa Pitches at The Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
Each year, the Mifa Pitches aim to showcase the best original animation film projects in development.
"The Dragon's Treasure" along with seven other animated features from the United States, France, Germany, Denmark, Mexico, Indonesia and Latvia is going be present during the Mifa Pitches.
The pitches were selected from a total of 433 submissions from all over the world of which only eight works entered the Feature Films section.
The Mifa Pitches provide an opportunity for animation directors and producers to present their projects to professional audience. Various sponsored awards are presented to the winners including cash prizes, residences, development funding, and post-production services.
It is worth mentioning that Hoorakhsh Studios’ “The Last Fiction” animated feature, was previously accepted in Mifa Pitches in 2013. The presence of "The Last Fiction" in Mifa Pitches was the first appearance of an Iranian animated movie in Annecy Film Festival.
The 2D computer animated film, "The Dragon's Treasure", is being produced in Hoorakhsh Studios in cooperation with a Canadian company, Mystic House.
The animation tells the story of an 8-year-old girl named Sayeh who goes on an adventure in search of the dragon's treasure to save her grandmother's village from drought. But she doesn't know that the real treasure is water and she must fill up all the aqueducts.
Pre-production of this animation has started in 2020 and will continue for another six months. "The Dragon's Treasure" is expected to be ready for 2023.
The 60th Annecy International Animation Film Festival, will be held online from June 14 to 19, 2021.
