The Department of CSE (Data Science) and Department of Information Science & Engineering successfully organized “Food Walk”, a health-oriented awareness event focused on the importance of organic, natural, and nutritious foods in our daily lives.

The event highlighted how organic and natural foods reduce chemical exposure, improve immunity, and support long-term well-being. Participants learned the value of nutritious, balanced diets, mindful eating habits, and sustainable food practices that promote both personal health and environmental protection.

🌟 Workshop on “From Idea to Commercialisation: Applying Design Thinking in Entrepreneurship” 🌟

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science), BLDEACET Vijayapura, in association with Shri B. M. Patil Foundation for Innovation and Incubation and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a one-day workshop on 31st October 2025 at the Library Seminar Hall.

The workshop focused on nurturing entrepreneurial mindset and design-thinking skills, enabling students to convert innovative ideas into commercially viable solutions.

They delivered highly interactive sessions on:

Our institution celebrated Constitution Day to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The event was organised by the Department of CSE (Data Science) in association with the NSS Cell.

📌 Activities Conducted:
1️⃣ Preamble Reading
2️⃣ Essay Competition on the topics:
• “Why Constitution is the Soul of India”
• “Fundamental Duties in Real Life”

✨ Students participated with great enthusiasm. Prizes were awarded to the winners, and certificates were distributed.

The celebration helped instill a deeper sense of responsibility, awareness of fundamental rights and duties, and pride in our constitutional values.

🌟 IDEATHON 2025–26 Inaugural Ceremony 🌟

The inaugural ceremony of IDEATHON 2025–26 was held on 8th December 2025 at BLDEACET-Vijayapura.
The event began with escorting the dignitaries to the dais, followed by an invocation song. Mr. Aditya Gothe, first-year student, skillfully hosted the ceremony.

The programme was graced by
Dr. Manjunatha P., Principal (President of the event),
Dr. Leena Ragha, Vice Principal – Administration,
Dr. P. V. Malaji, Vice Principal – Academics & R&D,
Dr. Anuradha S. Tanksali, First Year Coordinator,
Prof. K. A. Kalgond, First Year Co-coordinator,
and industry guests from Innovascape LLP and B. M. Patil Foundation for Innovation & Incubation.

A warm welcome address was delivered by Dr. Anuradha S. Tanksali, followed by the watering of the plant, symbolizing the growth of ideas and innovation.
Ms. Sahana Biradar presented an insightful overview of the Ideathon, focusing on creativity, structure, and objectives.
Inspirational messages by Dr. P. V. Malaji and Dr. Leena Ragha emphasized the importance of cultivating innovative thinking.

In his presidential remarks, Dr. Manjunatha P. encouraged students to adopt problem-solving, teamwork, and design thinking as core skills.
The stage was later handed to Miss. Supriya Vaidya for the technical proceedings.

The First-Year Department of B.L.D.E.A’s Vachana Pitamaha Dr. P. G. Halakatti College of Engineering & Technology (BLDEACET), in collaboration with the Shri B. M. Patil Foundation for Innovation and Incubation, has launched Ideathon 2025–26—an exciting innovation journey for nearly 700 first-year engineering students.

This 4-day Ideathon is designed to nurture:
✨ Creativity & Design Thinking
✨ Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills
✨ Teamwork & Interdisciplinary Learning
✨ Entrepreneurial Mindset

Students will engage in brainstorming, mentoring sessions, structured activities, and idea presentations to create solutions that may grow into impactful projects or future startups.

Vrukshathon 2025 – Heritage Run officially inaugurated today!
The 21 KM Heritage Run was launched at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium, Vijayapura, marking the beginning of a meaningful fitness and environmental initiative.

The route proudly covers Vijayapura’s iconic heritage spots such as:
