VIT Community Radio 90.8 fm.

It is an initiative started by VIT for the empowerment of the vellore community. The vision of VCR is to provide opportunity to the community and our students get to know their basic rights, duties, and responsibilities as citizens in order to be successful in life.

VIT Community Radio has been conducting Independence Day Competition for school students 2018. Independence Day Competition 2018 was conducted from 24th July to 27th July 2018 in our Studio (SJT 804). In total, 302 students from 18 schools were participated in 8 categories both in Tamil and English including Quiz, Radio Drama, Song and Radio Talk. These audio contents are judged by our Faculty Members to decide the winners and runners for all categories. The Audio Contents are edited and produced as special programmes for Independence Day 2018 for our radio broadcast on 15th August, 2018 from 1000 hrs to 2000 hrs. Winners and Runners will receive their prizes and certificate from our Chancellor during the Flag Hoisting ceremony on 15th August, 2018.
