Finding authentic Mandhi Biryani or Hyderabad Biryani in Karur used to be a difficult task. However, Arfa Chicken Park has made it easy for foodies to enjoy these dishes along with other delicious chicken delicacies. The restaurant boasts a fantastic ambiance and has several halls to accommodate customers.

The Arab-style dining hall with low tables and chairs is perfect for a unique dining experience. There's also a party room with disco lights, a waiter calling bells, and cell phone charging points at each table.

While there are many dishes to choose from, we highly recommend the chicken Mandi biryani, chicken Hyderabad biryani, Ustadi kebab, chicken shawarma, KFC fried chicken, fried momos, and mojitos. The chicken shawarma is a unique take on the classic dish, with the chicken from the kebab stick minced and rolled into shawarma. The charcoal-burned chicken taste adds a new dimension to the dish. The fried momos and mojitos are also excellent choices.

To finish off your meal, the sizzling brownie is a treat. Watching the sauce being poured onto the hot pan in front of you adds an extra element of excitement. The soft brownie, combined with the sauce and ice cream, is simply fantastic.

If you haven't tried a true home-cooked non-vegetarian meal with mutton, country chicken, mutton intestine fry, and mutton head curry, then you must visit Kari Soru Mess in Namakkalwhich is located on the highway's service road, just as you enter Namakkal town. This small eatery serves only lunch.

Their menu is simple, with biryani available only on occasion, but they offer rice, mutton fry, country chicken fry, mutton intestine (Kudal) fry, and mutton head (Thala) fry. Additionally, they provide mutton gravy (kulambu) and country chicken kulambu to go with the rice. The mutton and country chicken dishes have a true home-cooked taste, with the perfect level of spiciness and saltiness that you would find in your own home-cooked meals. The only downside is that the meat pieces are too big, and smaller cuts could enhance the dishes.

The mutton kulambu and the country chicken kulambu are even better. They have a thin, watery consistency that allows you to mix them well with rice. Both of the kulambu are amazing. The curd they serve is rich and thick, and the pacha puli rasam, made in three or four different ways, is fantastic.

The food has a great home-cooked feel, but the prices are high for a place like this. The quantity they serve for the price is unfair, and they could either increase the quantity or lower the prices.

Overall, the food is excellent and feels like a home away from home.

The owner of Insuvai Unavagam has made it possible to serve a delicious non-veg meal at an affordable price. The food is cooked at home and brought to the service place one by one in a two-wheeler. Once all the dishes are set up, they start issuing tokens. A person can get as many tokens as they want, and each token costs just 50 INR.

The meal comprises of rice and other non-veg items like broiler chicken, chicken liver, mutton head curry, mutton blood poriyal, and chicken manchurian, all served on a plate. The broiler chicken fry is of a larger quantity, while the other items are of a smaller quantity. Each dish is cooked to perfection, and the taste is fantastic. The dishes complement the rice perfectly, and there's also chicken kulambu that you can serve yourself, which also tasted great.

Located near the airport , Ramar Resto is a Kerala cusine restaurant…. I liked the ambience here which was pleasing …

The lunch was amazing here, the Satti soru the star dish is definitely worth mentioning. Priced at 250 inr , the Satti soru which is served in a clay pot consists of Kerala matti rice , a fish fry , nethili fish fry , two kinds of curry fish , squid , omelette and a appalam.

You need not serve the contents of the clay pot to a plate, you can have it just like that

The taste was just amazing … a different kind of experience since eating directly from the pot was something new . Each item in the clay pot was jus perfectly cooked and when mixed to gether they tasted amazing … you things can’t just be said in words but felt so don’t miss this dish if you are here.

Other dishes like the mandhi biryani, kingfish tawa fry, Korean chicken , prawn roast all tasted good … the kingfish tawa fry was also excellent and had to have a special mention. A big slice with perfect masalas and extraordinary taste .., I just love it .

And finally to finish this splendid meal we had a dessert kissbat which was banana custard topped with vanilla Icecream, which was so amazing … the banana custard had coconut and nuts mixed in them and was a perfect dessert.

Located a few kilometers from Erode city, Palanisamy Duck Eatery is a small hut-style eatery that specializes in serving homemade duck curry and idly.

Idly and Duck curry will be available from 12 pm to 8 pm. This place is a simple hut-type eatery where you get to enjoy hot idlis. The idlis were hot and soft, and So was the duck curry. It had a homemade taste.

Although the taste is good, comparing this place to eateries in velayuthampalayam like Kathirvel vaathu kadai which is famous for its duck curry, the taste of Palani Samy vaathu kadai is just average

Located on the Karur to Erode highway 20 km before erode, Kumaran Mess is a hidden gem that serves chicken biryani, meals, fish fry, and chicken fry in town. This mess, with its friendly staff, has been serving delicious food for many years, and it has become a go-to place for many food lovers in that locality.

Although all the dishes were good.., I could recommend going here for breakfast. The soft parotta and the mutton intestine fry were outstanding (Link to the video below)

So compared to their breakfast, I could say that their lunch was just average. But if you are in this area for lunch, then Kumaran mess is a good option to have a good biryani or meals with fish fry and chicken fry.

True to its name, this maanthottathu Virunthu hotel is situated on a farm. Not many mango trees are seen .., because the hotel is separated from the farm. Although the dining area has seats for few people it looks cozy with a village-type look.

This place has its own country chicken and kadaknath chicken farm. The kadaknath chicken is a black chicken, where the meat is also black and tastes better than a country chicken.This meat is said to have good medicinal value.

Here all the meat is cooked in a clay pot. Even the rice is cooked in a traditional way where the water is drained.

Although there were a lot of dishes in the country chicken, I went for a combo pack where we get most of the side dishes but in a lesser quantity…

Ordered a non-veg meal where I get rice with mutton kulambu, country chicken kulambu, and dry fish kulambu …

For side dishes, the combo pack had chicken pepper fry, kadaknath chicken fry, chicken Pallipalayam, chicken sinthamani, chicken nallampatti, mutton intestine, and mutton fry.

The country chicken pepper fry had a punch of curry leaf and pepper to it, the taste was different and very good…

The kadaknath chicken fry was the star dish, the meat itself tasted very good. This place is a specialty for kadaknath chicken so if you are here don’t miss out on this dish…

The Pallipalayam and nallampatti also were equally good. Had a really amazing taste to them.

The mutton intestine was good but when compared to other dishes it tasted average.
The mutton fry also was good .., no complaints about the mutton dish.

Although I did not like the country chicken biryani… the non-veg meals with sides were a true Gramiya Virunthu ( village feast)

I suggest that you go for non-veg meals with kadaknath chicken, nallampatti chicken, and Pallipalayam chicken.

Don’t just have a good meal have a fantastic meal !!!!

One of the best Kudal ( mutton intestine) that I’ve had in a long time.

Kumaran mess is a small eatery situated in Solangapalayam, paasur on the Karur to Erode highway, around 20 km from erode.

The breakfast timing starts at 7.30 am. For breakfast, there is idly, dosa varieties, parottas, etc., for non-veg they serve Kudal ( mutton intestine) curry

The mutton intestine Curry is one the best Kudal dishes that I had in a long time...
The spiciness to it was perfect and so were all the flavors.., perfectly balanced!!
They also fry the intestine and give .. the Kudal is tossed with pepper, onions, and curry leaves… this enhances its taste and is also served hot...

The combination of the soft parotta with the mutton intestine fry is really amazing ..

The whole place was packed with regular customers who were all locals … the mutton intestine was over around 9.30 am .,, so if you want to taste this delicious dish then being here around 8 or 8.30 am would be perfect ….

I wouldn’t recommend dosa varieties from here go for parrots with mutton intestine fry …

Will be visiting Kumaran mess for lunch which is for another post soon !

Here at Addipoli puttus they make various varieties of puttus… All the puttus are sandwich types packed in a specially made container that can withhold heat for about one and a half an hour …

The sandwich puttus are packed using a special machine … The puttus are packed in such a way that the chicken fill is in the center and puttu is packed to either side. The whole puttu set is then packed in the containers using those manual machines…

I tried the curry leaf chicken puttu and the chili garlic puttu… Though both had an overpowering flavor of curry leaf and chili garlic to them , when mixed with the Puttu they tasted good…

The coconut curries that were given along with the puttus also tasted good…

The wheat parotta with a Kerala-style egg curry was also good, the egg curry had coconut pieces in them and was made with coconut oil… Two wheat parotta with egg curry ( 2 eggs) costs 140 rs which I feel is a bit expensive….

The chicken sandwich puttu with gravy and jaggery costs 120 INR.

If you are a fan of Kerala-style food .., then this is the place for you!!!
