In Connections, our new special episode produced in collaboration with LEAD at Krea University, we talk about how social interactions affect business outcomes in women-led enterprises.
Businesses that succeed often do so because they are able to form trusting, open relationships with stakeholders, and can help them grow. However, these relationships can be hard and sometimes make or break businesses.
The research, learnings, and insights from LEAD’s study was based on seven groups of stakeholders in the ecosystem - employees, customers, suppliers, financers, enablers, mentors and of course, family and community members.
In this clip, you'll hear from to Kanika Bansal who runs a company that designs and manufactures wearable devices for the healthcare industry.
She talks about her trials finding a dye maker, who was willing to talk to a woman, let alone do business with her and how she had to actually hire a male employee just to meet with manufacturers.
