My grandmother has walked to blend with Paramatma. Today, we sat together and offered respect to her and prayed to God for her salvation, performing Arya Brahmin rituals. I believe my grandmother will bless our family with abundance and me with child and grandchild like me. As a granddaughter, I will continue her artistic legacy and expand this as much as possible. 🙏

মোহ মায়া সংসারে বাঁধা পড়ে মন
ঘরণী রাঁধে সরষে দিয়ে মাছের চচ্চড়ি
স্নান সেরে অন্নসমীপে বসি শেষে

অনন্তে মেশে এই জীবনের রঙ যেন
জীবনও হাসে খেলে রঙীন মাছের মতো
সংসারে আকুয়ারিয়ামের মতো
দুর থেকে নিশ্চুপে দেখে মানুষেরা বসে

Travelling is more fun when we try more local cafés. Darjeeling has a lot in this area. With the big names, there are some local cafés ready to serve you so authentic Darjeeling tea and pizza. Believe it or not, The Caramel served us Chicken Fiesta Pizza better than those pizza brands in my own home town.  And tea has some other delicacy in Darjeeling. The aroma of tea, makes one feel like living in heaven.

The Darjeeling town has many old buildings. St. Andrew's Church is among those, which gives you ideas about the life and living of people during British colonial rule. This gothic structure was founded in 1843. 
St. Andrew was the patron saint of Scotland and the church has received the name after his. The early worshippers of the church were Scottish soldiers and tea planters living in the Darjeeling hill area. The church has the capacity to accommodate 200 people at a time.

Darjeeling Mahakal Temple is standing in a place where once a Buddhist Monastery stood. The name of that monastery was Dorje Ling. The monastery was built by Lama Dorjey Rinzing in 1765. Some believe that the town name Darjeeling came from the monastery name Dorje Ling. 


In 1788, during the Gorkha army invasion, the monastery was desecrated and destroyed by the invading troops. After another Gorkha invasion in 1815, the monastery completely shifted to the Bhutia b***y and renamed as Bhutia B***y Monastery. With time, this place became a prominent place to represent Hindu symbolism of the majority Nepali community. 


Now, this place is massively popular for the Mahakal Temple, which is representing Hinduism and Buddhism together. When you will go up, stepping on those stoned stairs, you will find the sky almost covered by the prayer flags. Inside the temple complex, you will find Hindu Gods and Goddesses and also the place to worship Lord Buddha together.
