Star javelin thrower , with a direct qualification, stormed into the finals at the ongoing . A stunning throw of 86.65m has put him on the top of the Group A contest.

It was Chopra’s first participation at the Olympics and he just took a few seconds to make it to the final round as he sent the spear well past the qualifying mark of 83.50m in his first attempt, reported NDTV.

The 23-year-old said his journey to the Tokyo Olympics was quite challenging due to lack of competitive exposure. He will be competing at the finals on Saturday, August 7.

Addition of ₹4.50 as GST against a soft drink ordered as part of a meal has cost Swiggy ₹20,000. Out of this, ₹10,000 of the penalty will go to the complainant, Abhishek Garg.

He had ordered food via Swiggy when he realised that he was charged ₹4.50 as GST for the soft drinks though he was already paying the MRP, which he contended was illegal under the Consumer Goods (Mandatory Printing of Cost of Production and Maximum Retail Price) Act, 2006.

India got the longest high-speed track in Asia in Madhya Pradesh's Indore

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar inaugurated NATRAX — the 11.3km-long High Speed Track (HST) -- and said that India is destined to become a hub of automobiles and manufacturing and spare parts.

NATRAX is developed in an area of 1,000 acres of land and is claimed to be a one-stop solution for all sorts of high-speed performance tests for widest categories of vehicles from two wheelers to heavy tractor-trailers.

Tata Group’s founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, has been named as the most generous person in the world over the past 100 years, with his total donations amounting to $102 billion.

He has been awarded the title of ‘Philanthropist of the Century’ as per the study conducted by EdelGive Foundation and Hurun Report.

A first-of-its-kind list released on Wednesday, June 23, puts Tata ahead of donors like Bill Gates, Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet. He is the only Indian making it to the Top 10, reported India Today.

The study identified the top 50 philanthropists in the world. The US topped the list with 39 people, followed by five in the UK, three in China, and two from India.

Wipro’s Azim Premji is the second person from India bagging the 12th position with an estimated donation of $22 billion.

The ranking was calculated based on the value of the assets adjusted for current inflation along with the sum of gifts or distributions to date.
