Jammu:07Nov.2023:State Unit of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations lead by its State President R K Kalsotra along with hundreds of supporters of Indian Constitution returned back Jammu after attending a mass Save Constitution Maharally on 05 Nov.23 at Ramleela Maidan.

While addressing the Maharally R K Kalsotra said why this rally was necessary because anti constitution forces are openly debating for changing constitution, few days back BJP MLA in presence of UP CM Yogi ji spoke (Gurdwaras & Masjid unke liya Nasoor ban jayenge) these types of remarks supported by clapping shows movement for changing constitution and it is against the spirit of Indian Constitution who gives fundamental rights to Indian like “Rights of Speech, Relegion. Equality, freedom” He further raised the J&K issues like diluting ST/OBC Status,not toto implementing Mandal Commission Report, not restoring reservation in promotions and not clearing pending backlogs, even caste Attrocity is increasing after Abeogation of 370 Arricles. He appeals to Modi Sarkar to direct State Administration to fulfill our demand.

Shri R.R Swain takes over as 17th DGP of Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, October 31: Shri R.R Swain took over as 17th Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir at a function held at PHQ Srinagar, today afternoon.

Spl DG Crime J&K, Shri A.K Choudhary, ADGsP, Shri S. J. M. Gillani, Shri M.K Sinha, Shri Vijay Kumar, Director, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K, Shri Alok Kumar, Commissioner Secretary Industries & Commerce Shri Vikramjeet Singh, IGP Shri V. K Birdi, IGP (CIV/Hqrs) Shri B.S Tuti and other senior officers from J&K Police were present on the occasion.

On his arrival Shri R.R Swain was received by senior officers and was presented guard of honour in the PHQ lawns. He also inspected the guard of honour.

A 1991 batch IPS officer Shri R.R Swain before taking over as DGP Jammu and Kashmir remained posted at various important and key positions of Jammu and Police which included SDPO Kothi Bagh, SP Ramban, SP Kargil, SP Poonch, SSP Kathua, SSP Jammu, SSP Srinagar, AIG (P/W) PHQ and DIG Vigilance. In November 2006 Shri Swain went on deputation to Govt of India where he held very prestigious posts. In June 2020, Shri Swain joined the J&K Police as head of the CID wing and today took over the charge of DGP J&K.

Immediately after taking over the DGP, J&K Shri R.R. Swain chaired a meeting at PHQ which was attended by senior officers of the PHQ and other wings.

The HODs of different wings and senior officers of PHQ briefed the DGP about the working/functioning etc. of their wings and offices.

DODA POLICE HELD INTEGRITY PLEDGE CEREMONY AT DPL DODA AND OTHER POLICE ESTABLISHMENTS OF DISTRICT DODA
As a part of the events observed under “Vigilance Awareness Week” Doda Police today on 30th of October-2023, held “Integrity Pledge Ceremony” at District Police Liens Doda. The ceremony was attended by officers and jawans of District Police, IR-5th Bn and CAPF personnel. On this occasion, SSP Doda, Sh. Abdul Qayoom JKPS, administered the integrity pledge and readout the contents of the pledge to officers and jawans with a firm commitment and determination that we need to lead from all the fronts in eradicating corruption and in maintaining highest standard of integrity, transparency and good governance and we shall not offer or accept bribes.
The ceremony of integrity pledge was also held in all Police Offices, Police Stations, Police Posts and other Police Units at Police Station and Sub-Division level throughout the District.
