Electoral Roll Observer chairs meeting to review the progress achieved under ongoing Special Summary Revision-2023 of Electoral Rolls in District Budgam
Budgam, November 14- The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Biduri, who is also the Electoral Roll Observer today chaired a meeting to review the progress achieved under ongoing Special Summary Revision-2023 of Electoral Rolls in District Budgam.
The meeting was held at Conference Hall Budgam, where Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo, who is District Election Officer (DEO), briefed the chair about the progress and ongoing work with regard to SSR of Photo Electoral Rolls in the district.
At the outset, the Divisional Commissioner took a detailed review of the progress achieved in the District under ongoing SSR-2023 and sought details about the number of fresh applications received, as well as the number of claims and objections.
He emphasised upon the concerned Electoral Registration Officers(EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers(AEROs) to conduct revisions according to guidelines of ECI as per notified schedule and expedite the process for achieving targets.
The chair was briefed that 620 BLOs and 1 each for 1 polling stations have been appointed in the District.
The Div Com stressed on intensifying SVEEP activities and ensure timely disposal of claims and objections.
EROs and AEROs were directed to complete the revision of the special summary with 100 percent enrolment of eligible voters, including the addition of new voters and deletion of duplicate voters, within the extended date.
He emphasised that successful conduct of all SVEEP programmes across all Assembly segments of the District Budgam be conducted with focus on to ensure 100% registration of all eligible voters in the district.

Advisor Bhatnagar visits Budgam, presides Block Diwas at Panchayat Halqa Jawalapora
BUDGAM, OCTOBER 18: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today visited Panchayat Halqa Jawal Pora of District Budgam and presided over a Block Diwas there.
District Development Commissioner(DDC) Budgam Akshay Labroo; ADDC, Dr. Akhramullah Tak, PRI members, senior officers of the district administration, and other sectoral officers were also present at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Bhatnagar emphasized the importance of Panchayats, and said, panchayats play a pivotal role in process of development and it is essential to empower them for holistic progress.
He impressed for speedy completion of developmental works in the area. He stressed on concerned that work on road projects be taken up for early execution and ensure better connectivity to the local population, besides , PHE authorities were instructed to ensure speedy completion of all going JJM works and smooth functioning of all existing water pipelines, reservoirs and filtration plants in the area to ensure smooth supply of potable water to locals.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Budgam emphasized that works related to irrigation, road development, and improvement in other sectors will be executed in a time bound manner for public convenience. He appealed locals to cooperate with Administration so that there’s overall development of the area. He remarked that District administration is committed towards overall development of the area and will complete all of its projects within the fixed timeline.

Budgam, October 18: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo today chaired Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS), meeting of Ayushman Bharat and HDF.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chairman Municipal Council Budgam, Vice Chairman District Health Society Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Member Secretary Medical Superintendent District Hospital Budgam, Executive Engineer R&B Division Budgam, District Ayush Officer and other concerned members.

He stressed on robust functioning of all health facilities in the district to ensure better patient care to the general public.
In order to improve healthcare at the District Hospital Budgam, the DC led committee approved several machinery, equipments and infrastructural projects required for orthopaedic, Ophthalmology and other departments to be acquired from the available budget.
Orthoscope and it’s hand instruments for orthopaedic department, Slit lamp, Tonometer, Automatic Refractometer,Minor OT set,Vision drum for Ophthalmology department were also approved in the meeting beside, Fogging machines,Fire extinguishers, Laptops,USG probe were also approved.
At the outset, Medical Superintendent, Dr Mohammad Iqbal presented over all view of functioning of District Hospital Budgam through the Power point presentation.
The Medical Superintendent expressed his gratitude to the district administration for approving various important infrastructure developmental projects under different District funds components, 2023. The projects include Blood Bank component unit for the cost of Rs 32.50 lacs, Fencing and Main Gate of hospital for about 7.63Lacs.

Commissioner Secretary Toursim and Culture, Government of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Syed Aabid Rasheed inaugrated The festival by doing the traditional Yezbandsozu. Principal GDC Chadoora, Prof. Rifat Jan, Incharge Officer Cultural Academy Dr. Farooq Anwaar Mirza, Dr. Syed Iftikhar Ahmed, Dr. Shabnam Rafiq, Nisar Naseem, M. Yousuf Shaheen, Gh.
