UDHAMPUR POLICE ARRESTED 01 DRUG PEDDLER ALONG WITH 101 KG OF POPPY STRAW AT ROUN DOMAIL, UDHAMPUR

Continuing its drive against drugs in Udhampur town, Police Party of Police post Roundomail apprehended one drug peddler and seized 101 kg of poppy straw.
Police Team of PP Roundomail led by Insp. Chanchal Singh SHO PS Udhampur and assisted by SI Kaku Ram IC PP Roundomail under the supervision of Sh. Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs. Udhampur laid a naka at Roundomail naka point for checking.
During naka checking, police party stopped one truck bearing registration number JK02AC/0797 which was subjected to thorough search.
During search of said vehicle, 101 kg of poppy straw like substance was recovered.
The narcotic smuggler namely *Aqib Ahmed Guroo S/O Shabir Ahmed Guroo R/O Budgam Srinagar* was arrested on spot.
The involved vehicle was also seized.
In this connection, A Case FIR NO. 132/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Acts stand registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
