ALERT is an Institution promoted by eminent academicians, educationists and administrators committed to the Development of Human Resources for the Emerging World. According to the UNESCO, the four pillars of education in the 21st century will be:-
Learning to know, which refers to acquisition of knowledge;
Learning to do, which stresses application of the knowledge acquired;

ther, which emphasizes an interface with values; and
Learning to be, which marks the total personality development of the learner. The Association for Life-long Education, Research and Training (ALERT) was established at Thrissur in September 1997 as a unique centre for human resource development with the above ideas in mind. The main objective of ALERT Academy is to update the knowledge and skills of professionals of all categories in various fields by organizing training and refresher courses making use of the services of eminent experts in the concerned disciplines. It aims at conducting short-term programmes of education and training that are relevant to the changing needs of society. Its approach is to encourage development of motivation and skills for continuous independent learning and to produce self propelled individuals. The emphasis is on Personality Development through structured programmes which include leadership training as well as career planning.
