The Association for Life-long Education, Research and Training (ALERT) was established at Thrissur in September 1997 as a unique centre for human resource development with the above ideas in mind. The main objective of ALERT Academy is to update the knowledge and skills of professionals of all categories in various fields by organizing training and refresher courses making use of the services of eminent experts in the concerned disciplines. It aims at conducting short-term programmes of education and training that are relevant to the changing needs of society. Its approach is to encourage development of motivation and skills for continuous independent learning and to produce self propelled individuals. The emphasis is on Personality Development through structured programmes which include leadership training as well as career planning.
