حاجی تسلیم میر دوبارہ صدر منتخب
کرناہ //کرناہ بیوپار منڈل کے انتخابات میں حاجی تسلیم احمد میر نے جیت درج کر لی ہے اور وہ ایک بار پھر صدر منتخب ہوئے ہیں۔ہفتہ کے روز کرناہ کے ڈاک بنگلہ میں ہونے والے تاجروں کے اس انتخابات میں دو أمیدوار اپنی قسمت ازمائی کر رہے تھے ۔قصبہ میں قریب 2000ووٹ تھے جن میں سے 1107ووٹ ڈالے گے۔ حاجی تسلیم احمد میر نے اپنے مدمقابل غلام یخیا کو 508ووٹوں سے شکست دی ۔حاجی تسلیم نے 804ووٹ حاصل کئے جبکہ أن کے مدمقابل غلام یخیا نے 296ووٹ حاصل کئے ۔اس دوران کل 7ووٹ ریجیکٹ ہوئے ۔اس طرح حاجی تسلیم احمد میر ایک بار پھر بیوپار منڈل کرناہ کے صدر منتخب ہوئے ۔حاجی تسلیم ممبر اسمبلی کرناہ جاوید مرچال کے پرنسپل سیکرٹری بھی ہیں ۔جیت درج کرنے کے دوران میڈیا سے بات کرتے ہوئے تسلیم نے کہا کہ وہ تاجروں کے مسائل حل کرنے میں پھرپور کوشش کریں گے ۔معلوم رہے کہ کرناہ بیوپارمنڈل کے صدر کی معیاد گذشتہ سال ختم ہو گئی تھی اور آج دوبارہ سے انتخابات ہوئے ہیں ۔حاجی تسلیم میر کو صدر منتخب ہونے پر کرناہ کے لوگوں نے مبارکباد بار پیش کی ہے ۔

Karnah, 4 Dec: In a remarkable celebration of sportsmanship and community unity, the 89th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) inaugurated the "Seema Prahari Cricket and Volleyball Competition" at the Shan-e-Teethwal Stadium in the border village of Karnah, Kupwara.
The event, part of the BSF’s Civic Action Program, aims to promote physical fitness, foster brotherhood, and enhance ties between the security forces and the local community.
The opening ceremony was attended by Brigadier Manish Dutt Upadhyay (Retd), Deputy Inspector General of SHQ BSF Kupwara, along with Pradeep Kumar Shah, Commandant of the 89th Battalion BSF, and senior officers S.S. Ahmed and Anoop Shukla. Local dignitaries, including Ajaz Ahmad Khan, Chairman of Chinar Youth Club Tangdhar, and Shujat Mustaq Turk, Vice Chairman, also graced the occasion, alongside enthusiastic residents from Karnah and surrounding villages.
The competition began with a nail-biting cricket match between Bhattpura Gunners and Police XI Karnah, setting a vibrant tone for the event. Volleyball matches and other sports activities are scheduled in the coming days, ensuring continuous excitement.
Brigadier Upadhyay emphasized the unifying role of sports, stating, “Sports act as a bridge of understanding and friendship. Such initiatives encourage fitness and strengthen bonds between the BSF and the communities we serve.”
The day concluded with refreshments for participants and attendees, leaving a strong sense of community spirit. The organizers thanked everyone for their contributions, highlighting the event's role in fostering harmony and collaboration.

Anhad Public Library Inaugurated in Shartpalla, Tanghdar, Karnah
Karnah,– Anhad Public Library was inaugurated today in Shartpalla, Tanghdar, Karnah, marking a significant milestone in advancing education and empowering the youth of the region. The event was attended by a distinguished gathering, with SDM Karnah, Zafar Ahmad Lone, as the chief guest. Other dignitaries included ZEO Karnah Shah Mohammad, ZPEO Raja Mushtaq, Bar Association President Mehboob, Rt. Teacher and President of Pahari Cultural Club Rashid Lone, along with many prominent figures from Karnah. Over 50 students also participated, making the event even more memorable.
This newly inaugurated library is designed to serve as a crucial resource for the youth of Karnah, especially those preparing for competitive exams such as UPSC, JKAS, NEET, JEE (Mains and Advanced), NDA, and various other exams. Recognizing the challenges faced by students in this remote area, where access to educational resources requires traveling to Srinagar, the library provides a local space for academic growth, study, and exam preparation.
SDM Karnah, Zafar Ahmad Lone, applauded the initiative and underscored the importance of such community-driven projects. He highlighted that these efforts play a pivotal role in empowering local youth and fostering societal progress. He also encouraged more initiatives that promote the welfare of the community.
Shabnam Hasmi, Managing Trustee of Anhad, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all those who attended the event and supported the cause. She assured that, in addition to offering resources for competitive exam preparation, the library will expand its collection to include a variety of literature in the coming days, making it an inclusive and inviting space for all ages to enjoy reading.
