79 Bn CRPF, Sonwar, Srinagar (J&K) has inaugurated, Human Resources Development Activities (Skill Development Training) 14th January 2025 during Civic Action Programme under SRE (SE) for “Plumber General” in the premises of Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar (J&K). Dr. Gulam Nabi Itoo, JKAS, Director of School Education Kashmir, Ms Shabina Kyser, Chief Education Officer, Mrs. Huma Mir, Principal Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar & Co-Coordinator Mr. Mudasir Bhat of M/s Momin Technology Pvt. Ltd. were present during inauguration ceremony.

During the Skill Development Training Programme, 50 Students of Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar (J&K) will be benefitted from the advantages of “Plumber General” training.

In inaugural Speech, Shri Kishore Kumar, Commandant, 79 Bn emphasized the motive of the training to improve and build the nation by refining Skills of the youths, for their bright future. He also assured that such efforts to serve people of the region will be continued under Civic Action Programme, as per directions by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Further, he also stressed that CRPF is totally committed towards its social obligations and will continue to carry out similar projects in future and will make all possible efforts to improve the skill of youths of our area of responsibility.

5th Arm Wrestling Championship concludes in Srinagar

Srinagar: The J&K Arm Wrestling Association organized the 5th Arm Wrestling Championship 2024-25 at the SKISC Stadium in Gogji Bagh, Srinagar. The event was graced by Chief Guests Ms Preeti Jhangiani (President of Arm Wrestling Federation of India), Mr. Praveen Dabas (Founder of the Pro Panja League) and Farooq Ahmad Dar (President of J&K Wrestling Association). They all encouraged the participants and distributed prizes among winners on the last day of the Championship.The championship was aimed to promote arm wrestling in the region and identify new talent.

ACB files case against 2 Srinagar smart city officials

Srinagar, Jan 10: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday said to have registered cases against two Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) employees for alleged disproportionate assets.

Addressing a press conference, ACB officials, said that the duo including Sajid Yousuf Bhat, Chief Financial Officer and Zahoor Ahmad Dar, Executive Engineer SSCL have been booked under cases related to disproportionate assets.

"The case has been registered while searches are underway at 7 locations in this regard," ACB said without divulging in details.

The ACB said the duo has managed to get assets much higher than their lawful income. "We have registered a case and further details can be shared only after the searches and investigation is completed," ACB said when asked about involvement of more officials.
