The Commissioner of Railway Safety (Northern Circle) Dinesh Chand Deshwal has authorised the opening of the newly constructed broad gauge line to connect Kashmir with the rest of the country, railway officials said. This comes nearly a week after conducting a two-day statutory inspection of the Katra-Reasi section of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway link.

They said the CRS gave the authorisation for the start of public carriage of goods and passenger traffic in a seven-page letter to the concerned ministry and railway authorities including the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety, based on his detailed inspection of the track on January 7 and 8, signalling the completion of the much awaited ‘dream project’.
Quoting the letter, the officials said the CRS referred to his inspection of the newly constructed BG line between the Katra and Reasi section by motor trolley, on foot followed by speed trial on the entire section from Katra to Banihal and authorised regular opening of the section for the public carriage of passengers and freight traffic at a maximum permissible speed of 85 kmph on the main line and 15 kmph on turnout.

However, the officials said the authorisation is subject to the compliance of various conditions, guidelines and stipulations.

Talking to reporters on reaching Banihal after the successful high-speed trial run from Katra railway station, Deshwal said the trial run at 110 kmph on the 180-degree rising grade in such a challenging geography from Katra to Banihal has written a new chapter in the history of railways.
The work on the project to link Kashmir by train was started in 1997 and has missed several deadlines given geological, topographical and meteorological challenges.

Out of the total 272 km USBRL project, 209 km was commissioned in phases with the first phase of the 118 km Qazigund-Baramulla section commissioned in October 2009 followed by 18 km Banihal-Qazigund in June 2013, 25 km Udhampur-Katra in July 2014 and 48.1 km long Banihal-Sangaldan stretch in February, last year.

The work on the 46-km Sangaldan-Reasi section was also completed in June last year, leaving a total 17 km stretch between Reasi and Katra and this section was finally completed in December 2024.

Last month, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the completion of the Reasi-Katra section, an important development that will connect Kashmir with the rest of the country.

On January 4, a successful trial run of an electric train was successfully conducted on the Katra-Banihal section. The railways have conducted six trials over the past month on various segments of the track, including the two major milestones of the Anji Khad and Chenab bridges.

لاس اینجلس کے جنگلات اب بھی دہک رہے ہیں۔ تیز ہواؤں کے ساتھ شعلے آسمان کو چھو رہے ہیں۔ لوگ اپنی جان بچانے کے لیے دوڑ رہے ہیں، لیکن انسان اپنی قوت اور ٹیکنالوجی کے غرور میں شاید بھول گیا ہے کہ سب سے بڑی طاقت کسی اور کی ہے۔جو اپنی طاقت پر ناز کرتا ہے، کیا وہ اس آگ کے سامنے بے بس ہونے کو نہیں دیکھتا؟

یہ آگ محض ایک حادثہ نہیں، یہ ایک اشارہ ہے۔ یہ یاد دہانی ہے کہ اس کائنات کا مالک کون ہے۔۔۔ اللہ پاک انسان کو کبھی کبھار ایسے حادثات سے آزما کر یاد دلاتا ہے کہ تمہارا غرور کچھ بھی نہیں۔ زمین پر ظلم و ستم، ناانصافی، اور بے حسی بڑھ گئی ہے، اور انسان اپنے اعمال کے نتائج کو نظرانداز کر رہا ہے۔ یہ آگ ہمیں یہ سکھا رہی ہے کہ سب کچھ فنا ہو سکتا ہے،

لیکن اللہ کی رحمت ہمیشہ باقی رہتی ہے۔ اپنی غلطیوں کا اعتراف کریں، اور اللّٰہ سے مدد طلب کریں۔ جب آپ اس کے حکم پر چلیں گے، تو وہ آپ کے سارے مسائل کو حل کر دے گا اور آسمان سے رحمت برسائے گا۔ یہ لمحہ ہے کہ تکبّر سے اپنی اکڑی ہوئی گردن کو جُھکائیں، رب کے آگے جُھک جائیں، اور اپنی حقیقت کو ہیچ سمجھیں ۔ اور اللّٰہ کی وحدانیت اور ربوبیت کو تسلیم کریں اور ظلم کو روک دیں۔۔۔۔!!

اے اللّٰہ : ہم پہ رحم فرما، ہم تیری رحمت کے بغیر اپنے دشمنوں کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتے، اے اللّٰہ بے شک تیری رحمت تیرے غضب پر غالب ہے تُو بڑا معاف کرنے والا، بخشنے والا اور توبہ قبول کرنے والا ہے۔۔۔اے اللّٰہ ہم سب کو اپنی خصوصی امان وحصار میں رکھ اور ہم سب کو آسانیاں عطاء فرما اے رب کائنات ہمیں ہدایت نصیب فرما ایسی ہدایت کہ جس کے بعد گمراہی نہ ہو، ہمیں توبہ کی توفیق عطا فرما ایسی توبہ کہ جس کے بعد کوئی گناہ نہ ہو ۔ بیشک تو دانا ہے حکمت والا ہے اور بڑا ہی غفورالرحیم ہے۔۔۔اے اللّٰہ تیری وحدانیت، تیری ربوبیت کے آگے سر تسلیم خم ہونے کی توفیق عطا فرما

Vande Bharat Delhi to Katra Cancelled: ATTENTION for rail passengers! Indian Railways (IR) has cancelled the operations of the Vande Bharat Express train between Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK). The national transporter has cancelled this semi-high-speed train for 50 days. The train is being maintained and operated by the Northern Railway (NR) zone.
Indian Railways has cancelled the operation of train number 22439/22440 New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express for 50 days i.e. from January 16 to March 6, 2025. The train has been cancelled due to pre-Non-interlocking/ Non-Interlocking work in the Jammu yard in connection with Jammu station redevelopment work.

ایسے لوگ جو جانتے ہوں کہ ناراضگی ایک الگ چیز ھے اور اپنے فرائض کو پورا کرنا ایک الگ بات۔۔ایسے لوگ جو اپنی محبت، خیال، اور قدر میں نفاست رکھتے ہوں۔ ان لوگوں کا انتخاب کریں، جو سمجھتے ہوں کہ کب بولنا ھے اور کب آپ کو سننا ھے۔۔۔ایسے لوگوں کو چنیں جو ہر جھگڑے یا اختلاف کے بعد آپ کے ساتھ رہیں، بغیر آپ کو نقصان پہنچائے۔۔

زندگی بھر یاد رہتے ہیں مشکل میں ساتھ دینے والے اور مشکل میں ساتھ چھوڑنے والے ۔۔ ان لوگوں کا ساتھ دیں جو ہر وقت آپ کے قریب رہیں،جو آپ کو مشکل میں ساتھ دیں۔۔۔ اور کہیں کہ اپنا خیال رکھنا یہی لوگ حقیقت میں خوبصورت لوگ ہیں۔ جب دوستوں، محبت کرنے والوں، یا ساتھیوں کا انتخاب کریں تو صحیح لوگوں کو چُنیں ۔۔۔ جو آپ کی دین و دُنیا سنوارنے میں معاون بنیں۔۔۔۔ !!

اے اللّٰہ : ہم سے جُڑے ہر رشتے کو اس نعمت سے سرفراز فرما جس میں ہم سب کے لیۓ خیر و برکت ہو، عزت و وقار ہو، راحت و سکون ہو، صحت و تندرستی ہو، ترقی و خوشحالی ہو، اور دنیا و آخرت کی بھلائی ہو۔۔۔۔ اے اللّٰہ جو بیشمار نعمتیں تُو نے ہمیں دے رکھی ہیں، اُنہیں واپس نہ لے۔۔۔اور جو عافیت تُو نے ہمیں دے رکھی ہیں اُسے قائم رکھ۔۔۔۔اے اللّٰہ ہم سب کے دلوں میں ایک دوسرے کے لئے محبت، شفقت، اور اچھائی پیدا فرما اور ہمارے دلوں سے نفرتوں، رنجشوں اور غلط فہمیوں کا خاتمہ فرما، اپنی عظمت اپنی وحدانیت اور اپنی ربوبیت پر کامل ایمان عطا فرما۔ ہم سب کو آسانیاں عطا فرما اور آسانیاں بانٹنے کا شرف عطا فرما۔۔

Srinagar, Jan 14: The State Health Agency (SHA) of Jammu and Kashmir has suspended the empanelment of Shifa Medical Centre, Magarmal Bagh, Srinagar for six months following multiple complaints of illegal payments and denial of cashless services to beneficiaries under government healthcare schemes. The hospital has also been fined ₹26.15 lakh for collecting unauthorized payments from patients eligible for free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and AB PM-JAY SEHAT.

Irregularities and Complaints

The SHA received numerous grievances alleging that Shifa Medical Centre demanded out-of-pocket payments for treatments meant to be free. A surprise inspection on November 23, 2024, confirmed that the hospital was coercing patients for payments and denying treatment to eligible beneficiaries. Despite multiple Show Cause Notices, the hospital failed to respond, prompting the SHA to take strict action.

Empanelment Suspended and Fine Imposed

The State Empanelment Committee reviewed the case and decided to suspend the hospital’s empanelment for six months. Additionally, a penalty of ₹26.15 lakh was imposed for illegally collecting payments from beneficiaries. However, to ensure continuity of care for dialysis patients, Shifa Medical Centre is allowed to continue providing dialysis services under AB PM-JAY/AB PM-JAY SEHAT schemes. The hospital has been directed to deposit the penalty within five working days, failing which the amount will be deducted from pending payments without further notice.

History of Controversies

Shifa Medical Centre has faced several controversies over the past 15 years:

October 2017: The state government sealed several sections of the hospital for violating healthcare norms, including unauthorized operations and non-compliance with established standards.

October 2020: A 32-year-old woman from Dandarkha, Batamaloo, died during gallbladder stone surgery at the hospital. Her family alleged medical negligence, leading to protests and vandalism of hospital property. Police intervened with lathi charge and teargas shelling to disperse the angry protestors.

April 2022: A woman delivered a stillborn baby at the hospital. Her family accused the medical staff of negligence, resulting in a ruckus where windowpanes were broken, and female staff were allegedly attacked. Police were called to manage the situation.

Legal Actions and Protests

These incidents have led to police interventions and public protests:

October 2020: Following the death of the woman during surgery, her family ransacked the hospital, alleging negligence. Police used lathi charge and teargas to disperse the protestors.

April 2022: After the stillbirth incident, the family created a ruckus at the hospital, accusing the staff of negligence. Police were called to control the situation.

Despite these controversies, Shifa Medical Centre continued operations until the recent suspension by the SHA. The recurring nature of these violations raises concerns about the hospital's commitment to adhering to healthcare regulations and ensuring patient welfare.

SHA's Warning

The SHA has emphasized the importance of compliance with healthcare guidelines and has warned of stringent actions against any healthcare provider found exploiting beneficiaries or violating established norms. Patients are encouraged to report any irregularities to the authorities to ensure transparency and accountability in healthcare services.

In a shocking development, Florence Hospital, Srinagar, has been suspended from the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) for six months following allegations of malpractice and fraudulent practices. The State Health Agency (SHA) imposed a penalty of ₹2.97 lakh, citing non-compliance with the guidelines of the National Health Authority (NHA).

The suspension highlights serious lapses in the hospital’s administration, raising concerns about misuse of public healthcare funds and exploitation of patients.

What Went Wrong at Florence Hospital?

The investigation by the SHA uncovered multiple violations by Florence Hospital in its handling of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. The hospital allegedly:

1. Submitted inflated bills for treatments that were covered under the scheme.

2. Charged patients for services that were supposed to be provided free of cost.

3. Failed to provide timely medical assistance to beneficiaries.

4. Billed for procedures that were either unnecessary or never performed.

The State Health Agency’s inquiry found that in some cases, patients were forced to pay out-of-pocket, even though they were eligible for cashless treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Action Taken Against Florence Hospital

Based on the findings, the SHA has taken the following actions:
