Handwara 30-01-2025
Prominent businessman and well known personality of Handwara Mr.Bilal Ahmad Lone has urged the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Mr. Omar Abdullah to appoint an Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) for Handwara citing administrative inefficiencies and growing public grievances due to the absence of a dedicated officer.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Bilal Ahmad Lone highlighted the urgent need for an ADC in the tehsil, emphasizing that the increasing population and workload have significantly strained the existing administrative structure. The absence of an ADC has resulted in delays in essential public services, revenue administration, and grievance redressal, affecting the smooth functioning of governance in the region.

He stated, “Our tehsil has been facing immense administrative challenges due to the lack of an ADC. The appointment of a dedicated officer will not only streamline governance but also ensure that public issues are addressed promptly and effectively.”

Bilal Ahmad Lone appealed to the Chief Minister for immediate intervention, stressing that the appointment of an ADC would improve service delivery and bring governance closer to the people. He urged the government to take swift action in the interest of the residents of Handwara ensuring better administrative efficiency and public welfare.

The demand for an ADC has been a long-pending issue in the region, and residents are hopeful that the government will respond positively to this pressing need.
