Preparation for the Upcoming 13th Foundation Day of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha Party

Under the direction of Hon’ble Minister-cum-Area MLA Shri Nar Bahadur Dahal, and in the presence of the Advisor to HCM Shri Rohit Raj Maharaj and Advisor to HCM Shri T.N. Dhakal, a team visited the venue to oversee preparations for the upcoming 13th Foundation Day of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha Party.

The visit was also attended by CLC President Shri Sherap Dorjee Bhutia, Singtam President Shri Suresh Tamang, and other party karyakartas, who actively participated in the preparations.

A coordination meeting was held to prepare for the 13th Formation Day Celebration of the SKM Party on 4th February 2025 at Ralap Domphing Ground, under the jurisdiction of 17 Khamdong Singtam Constituency. The meeting focused on finalizing preparations and forming committees to ensure the event is conducted successfully and efficiently.

१७ खाम्दोङ सिङ्गताम निर्वाचन क्षेत्रको लिङ्जे जुनियर हाईस्कुलमा नि:शुल्क शीतकालीन प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमको समापन समारोह सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भएको छ । कार्यक्रममा CLC अध्यक्ष श्री शेराप दोर्जी भुटियाको पहल थियो, जो प्रमुख अतिथिको रूपमा पनि उपस्थित थिए।

कार्यक्रमले मुख्यमन्त्री छात्रवृत्ति योजनाको प्रगतिलाई हाइलाइट गर्‍यो, जसको उद्देश्य शैक्षिक अवसरहरू अभिवृद्धि गर्ने र विद्यार्थीहरूको वृद्धिलाई समर्थन गर्ने लक्ष्य राखिएको थियो। श्री शेराप दोर्जी भुटियाले माननीय मुख्यमन्त्री श्री पी.एस. तामाङग (ग‍ोले) प्रति आभार व्यक्त गरे। शिक्षा प्रणालीको स्तरोन्नति र विद्यार्थीको हितलाई सधैं प्राथमिकतामा राख्ने दूरदर्शी प्रयासका लागि । उनले यस क्षेत्रको शिक्षा क्षेत्रलाई फाइदा पुग्ने पहल कार्यान्वयनमा निरन्तर साथ दिनुहुने क्षेत्रका विधायक नरबहादुर दाहाललाई पनि धन्यवाद दिए ।

Today, Hon’ble Advisor to the HCM, Government of Sikkim, Shri T.N. Dhakal, launched the poster for the Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Award 2025, which aims to encourage entrepreneurs and individuals for a brighter future. This award is dedicated to commemorating the legacy of India’s greatest political leader, writer, poet, and orator—Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It celebrates his monumental contributions, including making India a nuclear power, as we mark the 100th birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Hon’ble Advisor congratulated the Young and energetic society team for the great initiative and thanked them for the courtesy extended.

सिक्किम क्रान्तिकारी मोर्चा (SKM) सरकारको दोस्रो कार्यकालमा, सम्माननीय मुख्यमन्त्री श्री प्रेम सिङ्ग तामाङ (गोले) सर को "सुनौलो र समृद्ध सिक्किम" को परिकल्पनालाई साकार पार्न, सडक तथा पुल विभागका मन्त्री तथा क्षेत्रीय विधायक श्री नर बहादुर दाहाल ज्युको निर्देशनमा खामडोंगदेखि पतुकसम्मको ६ किलोमिटर सडक कार्पेटिङको काम सुरु भइसकेको छ।

यो सडक १८ वर्षअघि निर्माण भए तापनि, अहिलेसम्म कसैको ध्यान नपुग्दा जिर्ण अवस्थामा रहेको थियो। तर, SKM सरकारको रोड तथा पुल विभागका मन्त्री श्री नर बहादुर दाहाल ज्युको प्रयासले गरिएको यो कामले अब यस क्षेत्रको समृद्धिमा महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिनेछ। हामी, १७ खामडोंग-सिङगतामका जनता, अत्यन्तै खुसी छौं र श्री नर बहादुर दाहाल जेयु तथा SKM सरकारलाई हृदयदेखि धन्यवाद दिन चाहन्छौं।

Golden Jubilee Celebration of PMSHRI Govt. School Ralap

State Level Namprikdang Namsoong Festival 2024-25 begins

Chief Guest Minister for Roads and Bridges Mr Nar Bahadur Dahal inaugurated the State Level Namprikdang Namsoong Festival 2024-25, organised by the Namprikdang Namsoong Celebration Committee (NNCC) today. The festival will run until 12th January 2025.

The day began with the arrival of Chief Guest Minister Roads and Bridges Mr Nar Bahadur Dahal. He was recieved by Minister for Forest and Environment-cum-Area MLA Dzongu Mr Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, SDM Dzongu Mr Gideon Lepcha, BDO Dzongu Mr Mahendra Tamang, Zilla and ward Panchayat members, committee members and public.

The Chief Guest inaugurated the event with a visit to the puja and exhibition stalls, where he offered prayers and lit prayer lamps at the puja stall. Guests also visited the stalls, interacting with participants and appreciating their contributions to the festival.

Cultural richness was on display with tribal dances by the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (E.Z.C.C.), representing the Lepcha, Bhutia, and Nepali communities. This was followed by a felicitation programme. The felicitation programme honoured individuals and recognised their dedication to supporting community welfare.

The event also featured traditional sports competitions, including archery and tug-of-war, organised for both men and women. These activities not only added to the festive spirit but also highlighted the importance of preserving indigenous sports as a vital aspect of the region’s cultural identity.

In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the significance of the Namsoong Festival as a platform to preserve and showcase the unique traditions of North Sikkim. He expressed his gratitude for being invited to the event and congratulated the organisers for successfully hosting it, despite the challenges posed by the Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) that occurred on 3rd-4thOctober 2023, which severely impacted the area.
