Former Miss Meghalaya and Miss Northeast, Irene Dkhar having aced her audition in Shillong on Saturday, has clinched a direct spot in the final of the highly esteemed Miss Grand India 2024 Grand Finale. The audition, conducted in collaboration with the Miss Meghalaya Organization, proved to be a pivotal moment for Irene Dkhar's journey in the competition.

Joining her in the preliminary round of the contest are Ridamaya Passah and Tanvi Marak. However, the road to the grand finale for Passah and Marak involves navigating through two additional auditions. The stakes are high as they strive to secure their positions among the finalists.

The audition event was graced by the presence of key figures, including Mr. Amjad Khan, Director of Glamanand Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Daniella Shirley Majaw, Miss Teen Meghalaya 2022, and Shweta Himatsingka, an esteemed and award-winning nutritionist in the country.

Rajasthan's Nandini Gupta was crowned Femina Miss India World 2023 and was announced the winner of the title on Saturday at a dream set put up in Manipur. Delhi's Shreya Poonja was declared Femina Miss India 2023 1st Runner Up, while Manipur's Thounaojam Strela Luwang was crowned Femina Miss India 2023 2nd Runner Up. Former Femina Miss India 2022 winner Sini Shetty of Karnataka crowned Nandini, who will now represent India at Miss World 2024. The 19-year-old won the hearts of the judges and the audience with her charisma, uniqueness and talent and was crowned and bestowed the prestigious title.

This year's event promised to be a dazzling affair, with some of the most beautiful and talented young women from across the country vying for the crown. From mesmerizing runway walks to impressive talents, the Femina Miss India pageant has been a platform for young women to showcase their skills, intelligence, and confidence. The competition is fierce, and the stakes are high, making it a spectacle to watch.

The occasion was made even more special as the former pageant winners, Sini Shetty, Rubal Shekhawat, Shinata Chauhan, Manasa Varanasi, Manika Sheokand, Manya Singh, Suman Rao and Shivani Jadhav graced the stage with a mesmerizing performance. Actor Neha Dhupia, Rocky S, Namrita Joshipura and Sarita Devi were part of the jury panel for the evening. The pageant in its hybrid format had launched a nationwide hunt to find prospective talents from all corners of the country through virtual auditions.

Miss Northeast 2022 – the most prestigious pageant in the Northeast – initiated by North East Beauty Pageant Organisation (NEBPO) and presented by Beauty and Aesthetics Society of Nagaland (BASN) is underway and today the stunning Top 15 state winners and 1st Runners-up from all the eight North-eastern states landed in the land of festivals – Kohima, Nagaland.

These young aspirants are now a step closer to bagging the coveted crown of Miss Northeast.

The 15 contestants who arrived in Kohima this evening received a warm welcome by BASN at Hotel Vivor.

The mounting excitement is visible on the faces of all the Top 15 state winners as they now prepare to represent their home state in the grand finale of Miss Northeast.

The contestants will undergo eight days of grooming sessions before the grand finale on 3 November at State Cultural Hall, Kohima.

During the grooming session the contestants will also be addressed by renown resource persons such as Theyiesinuo Keditsu (PhD) – a poet, academic, writer and educator who advocates the revival of Indigenous Naga textiles, supermodel Ketholeno Kense Vhienuo and Dr Sagar J Abichandani, Celebrity Dentist & a well-known Pageant Smile Expert including Femina Miss India.

A charity event to support Children’s home has also been organised on 29 October outside Kohima post office and visits to various places across the state.

Daniella currently at Mumbai, is busy preparing for the upcoming Miss Teen Diva 2022 which will be held this year December when she was selected for one of the country's premier fashion shows, the Lakme Fashion Week Mumbai.
