Our Story
Firstly, let me just make it clear that the word "Otaku" is a degrading word which shouldn't be used without thinking. It's actually used when referring to someone who is a loner, who hasn't developed any socializing skills, who is close to failing in life, who is only obsessed with only one thing, and every other f* up thing you could think of. But then, why name the page ‘NEOtakus’ right if it’s such a bad word? You might have noticed how NEO are capital and the rest are not .Although a lot of people asked me if it means ‘North-East’-Otakus. Well honestly, I can’t say that it isn't but when we started this page, we wanted to show to the world a new wave or a new kind of Otakus. One who quit being the stereotypical otaku but something modified, modern something like a NEOtaku. 'NEO'- A combining form meaning “new,” “recent,” “revived,” “modified,” So although it is based in North-East India, our main aim includes any otaku who wants to make a difference, who wants to change who he/she is and everything around him irrespective of where he/she is from and what does he/she do. As long as the person considers themselves as NEOtakus, they know they are part of a family bonded together by different aspects of life with a common drive, that is, even NEOtakus can make a difference.
