*SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS DRUG PEDDLER WITH 4.15 GRAMS HE**IN LIKE SUBSTANCE*

Samba, December 01 2025: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 4.15 grams he**in like substance from his possession.

Acting on information received from reliable sources, a Police team of Police Station Vijaypur during special Naka at Rakh Barotain near AIIMS residence complex Vijaypur, intercepted a person under suspicious circumstances who was coming from Rakh Barotain side and moving towards NHW in a motorcycle without registration number. During frisking, approximately 4.15 grams he**in like substance was recovered from the possession of said person.

The drug peddler identified as Deeraj Sharma S/O Mool Raj Sharma R/O Jib Tehsil and District Udhampur has been arrested and the contraband item has been seized. The motorcycle has also been seized in the instant case.

A case FIR No 136/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.

सांबा: चंडली गांव में संदिग्ध ट्रांसमीटर मिलने से हड़कंप, पुलिस ने किया बरामद

सांबा ज़िला के ब्लॉक सूम्ब के चंडली गांव में शनिवार को मौसम विभाग का एक ट्रांसमीटर मिलने से स्थानीय लोगों में दहशत का माहौल पैदा हो गया। ग्रामीणों ने जैसे ही ट्रांसमीटर को देखा, तुरंत प्रशासन को इसकी जानकारी दी।

सूचना मिलते ही एसएसपी सांबा के निर्देश पर घोरन चौकी प्रभारी पुलिस दल और एफएसएल टीम ने मौके पर पहुँचकर ट्रांसमीटर की जांच की। शुरुआती जांच के बाद टीम ने उपकरण को अपने कब्ज़े में लेकर आगे की जांच शुरू कर दी है।

प्रशासन की अपील:
प्रशासन ने लोगों से शांति बनाए रखने की अपील करते हुए कहा है कि घबराने की बिल्कुल आवश्यकता नहीं है, स्थिति पूरी तरह नियंत्रण में है और मामले की जांच जारी है।

Constitution Day 2025 Celebrated at SPPND GDC Samba

The NCC Naval Cadets of SPPND Government Degree College, Samba commemorated Constitution Day 2025 with great zeal by organizing a three-day series of activities aimed at strengthening constitutional awareness among youth.

The celebrations began with a collective recitation of the Preamble, where cadets reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. An Awareness Rally was conducted across the campus and adjoining areas to spread knowledge about constitutional rights and duties among the public.

A special highlight of the event was a Parade themed on Constitutional Values, in which the cadets showcased exceptional drill precision, discipline, and patriotic spirit, reflecting their training and dedication.

On the third day, Cadets participated in a Pledge Ceremony, taking an oath to uphold the Constitution and promote its values in their everyday conduct.

The event was graced by the presence of the Principal of SPPND GDC Samba, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, who commended the cadets for their exemplary discipline and heartfelt participation. In her address, she emphasized the importance of Constitutional values in shaping responsible and informed citizens. She highlighted youth as the torchbearers of the nation’s future. She also appreciated the efforts of the NCC Naval Unit and faculty members for organizing a meaningful and inspiring observance of Constitution Day 2025.

The three-day programme was organized under the supervision of the Associate NCC officer, Dr. Nidhi Sharma, who guided and motivated the cadets throughout the events.
The Constitution Day celebrations at SPPND GDC Samba served as a meaningful platform to educate students and reinforce their role as responsible citizens of the nation.
