17th Naba Ita Pulu Memorial Football Tournament 2025: Girls’ Event Concludes
The girls’ event of the 17th Naba Ita Pulu Memorial Football Tournament 2025 concluded with Lohit FC defeating Global Valley FC 4-1 in the final. Lohit FC secured the winner’s prize of ₹70,000, while the runners-up received ₹30,000.
The closing ceremony was attended by Smti Dasanglu Pul, Minister of WCD, Culture, and Science & Technology, as Chief Guest; Shri Puinnyo Apum, MLA Dambuk, as Guest of Honour; and Shri Mutchu Mithi, MLA Roing, as Special Guest. Other attendees included Deputy Commissioner Smti Soumya Saurabh (IAS), local leaders, and PRI members.
The event celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and highlighted the growing enthusiasm for women’s football.

3-Day Mathematics Exposure Camp is being Held at Roing Promotes Interdisciplinary Learning
Roing, Arunachal Pradesh: A 3-day Mathematics Exposure Camp is being organized by the Department of Mathematics, JN College (JNC), Pasighat, in collaboration with the Idu Mishmi Culture and Literary Society (IMCLS), the All Idu Mishmi Students’ Union (AIMSU), and the Education Department of Lower Dibang Valley District.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Er. Ere Linggi, General Secretary of IMCLS, along with his executive members, and Er. Drone Linggi, President of AIMSU, accompanied by his executive members. They expressed their support and enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing its value in promoting education and practical understanding of mathematics in the region.
Renowned resource persons leading sessions during the camp include:
1. Dr. Jaya Mukherjee - Outstanding Scientist, Member Secretary of the National Board for Higher Mathematics, Deputy Head NCPW, and Scientific Secretary, BRNS, DAE.
2. Dr. Debashish Sharma - Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Gurucharan College, Silchar, Assam, and NBHM Associate Member for Olympiads.
3. Dr. Madan Mohan Dixit - Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics, NERIST, Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh.
4. Dr. Gete Umbrey - Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, JN College, Pasighat.
The camp is being held at the Mipi Pene Centre in Ezengo, Roing, was sponsored by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR, Mumbai. It was also supported by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Government of India, and JNC, Pasighat, under the DBT-STAR College and IQAC initiatives.

The 17th edition of the prestigious Naba Ita Pulu Memorial Football Tournament-2024 commenced today at the Kera Aa Jubilee Ground. With the theme “Drug Choro, Khel Mein Jodo” and a focus on youth empowerment, the tournament aims to inspire young people to embrace sports and a healthy lifestyle.
The opening ceremony was graced by Dr. Mohesh Chai, MLA of Tezu-Sunpura constituency and Advisor to the Minister of Health, as the Chief Guest. Shri Mama Miso, ZPC, attended as the Guest of Honour, while Shri Komji Linggi joined as a Special Guest.

2nd Edition of Youth Adventure Camp Flagged Off in Roing
Roing, 19th December 2024: The 2nd Edition of the Youth Adventure Camp, a vibrant initiative for youth empowerment, was flagged off on 15th December, 2024 by Shri Ramesh Linggi, Director of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, as the Chief Guest from Kera aa Jubilee Ground, Roing. The ceremony was graced by Shri Komji Linggi, ZPM Roing Block, as the Guest of Honour, and attended by Shri Raju Mipi, District Youth Welfare Officer, and Shri Drone Linggi, President of AIMSU, along with executive members of AIMSU and enthusiastic participants.
A special note of gratitude was extended to Buffaloes Trail MC, Running Wolf MC, 60 KM/H, and Mishmi Takin MC for their active participation, which enhanced the grandeur of the flag-off ceremony.
Objective of the Event
The Youth Adventure Camp, being held at Emewu (Nizamghat) from 15th-18th December, aims to:
• Introduce students to adventure sports and outdoor activities.
• Raise awareness about nature conservation.
• Conduct motivational workshops to build confidence and address anti-social issues.
With professional trainers and resource persons, the camp ensures participants receive hands-on experience in various activities, complemented by food and accommodation provided by the organizers.
Activities During the 4-Day Camp
The camp features an exciting mix of adventure, sports, fitness, and educational activities, including:
• Adventure Activities: Rafting, kayaking, ziplining, rock climbing, trekking, and nature walks.
• Games and Sports: Volleyball, archery, and fun games.
• Fitness: Yoga, meditation, and Zumba dance.
• Educational Workshops: Career counselling, motivational speeches, photography, journalism, painting, and entrepreneurship.
• Awareness Programs: Sessions on waste management, child labour, drug abuse, and nature conservation.
