"Eating is a necessity, but cooking is an art."

Pawar Public School, Nanded City, organized a Master Chef activity on October 19, 2024, for Senior KG students. Fathers and children participated with great enthusiasm. The cuisine ranged from traditional dishes to continental favorites, including sol kadhi, Gopal kala, corn chaat, and dry fruit yogurt.

Students discussed the ingredients, benefits, and nutritional value of each dish.

The purpose of this event was to promote healthy eating habits as well as to encourage creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills among the participants.

*STORY TELLING ACTIVITY*

Stories always give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. It is in our imagination that we embrace things and situations that we shy away from real world. Since time immemorial, story telling has been an integral part of our childhood.

To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love for reading in children,a *story telling activity* was held on *Friday,18th October 2024 for Jr.KG classes*.

Children narrated stories like 'Thirsty Crow','The Monkey and The Capseller ' and 'The Lion and The Mouse'. The young enthusiastic storyteller armed with their props and each story was recited with a moral.

The oratory and presentation skills of tiny tots were outstanding.

*Grandparent's Day - A Heart-warming Celebration! (NURSERY CLASS)*

We had the pleasure of hosting a heart-warming Grandparent's Day at Pawar Public School Nanded City Pune, for the kids of Nursery. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Our little stars from Grade Nursery welcomed their beloved Grandparents with an open arms and a beaming smiles. It was a day dedicated for celebrating the special bond between generations, and it was truly a sight to behold.

*The highlight of the Grandparents' Day event was:*

- Heartfelt greeting card distribution by students to their grandparents
- Saraswati Poojan performed by grandparents, seeking the Goddess's blessings
- Sharing of thoughts and experiences through storytelling and soulful singing
- Interactive fun with guessing songs and Antakshari
- Fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination activities
- Energetic Zumba and Garba sessions

These activities took our grandparents down the memory lane, allowing them to relive their childhood days. The joy and nostalgia on their faces were priceless!

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the grandparents who graced us with their presence, making this day a truly memorable one. Your love and wisdom are a treasure for us, and we're grateful for the lessons and stories you have shared with our little ones.

"Pawar Public School, Nanded City, celebrated Rashtriya Khel Diwas on Thursday, 29th August 2024, by hosting its Annual Sports Day for Preprimary students 🏆. The event was a resounding success, packed with engaging sports activities tailored for our young athletes 🏃‍♀️.

The day began with a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Hockey Player, Mr. Dhyan Chand, followed by an informative briefing on National Sports Day 🙏. Our Jr. KG students then took center stage with their impressive Dumbbell Drill performance, beaming with pride 💪.

Next, the Sr. KG students showcased their remarkable basketball dribbling skills, thanks to expert guidance from Samarth Sir 🏀.

The Nursery, Jr. KG, and Sr. KG sections then participated in their respective races, including running, bean bag balancing, hurdle, and relay races 🏃‍♂️.

The atmosphere was electric as the little ones cheered each other on, creating unforgettable memories 🎉. The day was filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of accomplishment, making it a truly special celebration 😊."

By encouraging individuals to plant trees in honour of their mothers, it symbolizes the nurturing role mother’s play and extends that care to Mother Earth. Trees are crucial for the environment as they absorb carbon dioxide, release oxygen, provide habitats for wildlife, prevent soil erosion, and enhance the beauty and health of our surroundings. Despite these benefits, deforestation and urbanization pose significant threats, making tree planting initiatives like essential. आंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिना'चे औचित्य साधत पवार पब्लिक स्कूल, नांदेड सिटी शाळेमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांनी मोठ्या उत्साहाने शुक्रवारी सकाळी योग दिन साजरा केला. यावेळी विद्यार्थी आणी शिक्षकांनी योग शिक्षिका सौ. वैशाली कुशारे यांच्या मार्गदर्शना खाली विविध योगासने केली. शिक्षकांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना योगदिनाचे महत्व विशद करून सांगितले.

सदर कार्यक्रम शाळेच्या क्रिडा विभागाच्या वतीने हा योग दिनाचा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. 3700 हून अधिक विद्यार्थी - विद्यार्थिनींनी येथे विविध योग प्रात्यक्षिके सादर केली.

*🌳World Environment Day🌳* held annually on 5th June. Brings together millions of people from across the globe, engaging them in the effort to protect and restore the earth. World Environment Day is a global platform for inspiring positive change. *Grade 1* of *Power Public school Nanded City* celebrated *World Environment Day* with environmental actions and the power of individuals to create a more sustainable world. Teachers focused on showcasing solutions to *plastic pollution* , *saving trees*, *importance of tree plantation* , *saving water* etc. through the activities.

Green veggies are packed with Vitamin, minerals and antioxidants which help fight disease. They strengthen bones and provide better heart health. They help in digestion and support immune system. To inculcate the *habit of eating green vegetables* Grade One students were ask to bring green food items in their tiffins. students were very excited and relished on the feast.

It helps students build observation based learning capacity. Activities conducted as follows -
*Paint a Poem* -🖌️✏️🖍️📒🎨 Teaching and learning can help students respect and understand the viewpoints of people across the globe. Which leaves a positive impact on students mental health. It enriches their vocabulary. Students develop an understanding of the relation between interdependence and community which provides exposure to the transactions that impact their cognitive and communication skills. After the recitation of the poem by the teacher children articulated their thoughts and understanding on the paper through their drawings. Students showcased their recongnition of the words and intonation correctly through their drawings.
*Fruit Chaat* - 🥭🍓🍇🍉🍊🍎The purpose of this activity is to strengthen identification of fruits and a discussion on fruits as a yummy, healthy food. Teacher involved students in making Fruit Chaat to help them understand that there are many different types of fruits and eating fruits can help to keep them healthy.
*Craft Making Activity*✂️✏️🖍️📒 Art & Craft provide a wealth of benefits for students both in the short and long term. It offers children a chance to learn and grow in a fun and creative environment. Students made a *paper dog*🐶 and pasted on a paper with the help of teacher followed by drawing and coloring to provide background to the craft they made. Students explored different colors, shapes and materials. Teacher encouraged them to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas.

The juicy and scrumptious watermelon is truly one of summertime sweet treats. With a name like 'Watermelon', it's no wonder that eating it on a hot and exhausting day leads to refreshing and hydrating our bodies.

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, one day before summer break all the section of pre- primery kids had a Watermelon party/Summer Fruit party. They communicated the health, benefits and were made familiar with the extented vocabulary around the theme. It was also quite a sensory experience as they explored the texture, colour,seeds and taste of the fruits i.e. Mango, Watermelon, Muskmelon, Jackfruit.

We had the pleasure of hosting a heart-warming Grandparent's Day at Pawar Public School Nanded City Pune, for the kids of Nursery. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
