Supta Virasana - Reclining Hero Pose is a supine YogAsana - posture, which influences the kidneys and bladder meridians❤️

This pose involves a reclined backward bend, which activates the muscles of back and opens the front of the body from the feet to the chest❤️

SuptaVirasana activates and regulates the functioning of the Fire element of the Solar Plexus, called Manipura Chakra in Sanskrit, which controls Pitta dosha - constitution and prevents diseases resulting from its imbalance❤️

Pitta Dosha is associated with a tenacious personality, based on the fire and water elements, commonly described as hot, light, sharp, oily, liquid, and mobile and summer is known as pitta season for its sunny, hot and long days❤️

People with pitta are said to usually have a muscular build, be very athletic, and serve as strong leaders and highly motivated, goal-oriented, and competitive❤️

Their aggressive and tenacious nature can be off-putting to some people, which can lead to disagreements and conflicts❤️

Strengths: intelligent, purposeful, learns quickly, self-determined, masters skills easily, strong desire for success, strong, natural leaders, quick metabolism, good circulation, healthy skin and hair❤️

Weaknesses: impatient, prone to conflict, always hungry, mood swings when hungry, prone to acne and inflammation, sensitive to hot temperatures❤️

Those with a pitta-dominant dosha should focus on work-life balance and avoid extreme heat❤️

walk through the door as the new You, to embrace 2022?❤️

Feeling stuck between two worlds or not ready to let go and move forward, so many questions unanswered❤️

You only have 24hrs, before we all have to take the leap forward and embrace the new year, whether we like it or not❤️

Looking back really isn’t an option, unless you choose stay there❤️

Let’s move forward with confidence and hope, what’s done is done and serves no purpose❤️

Keep your gaze firmly fixed ahead on the new future of limitless potential, always remember you are multifaceted and unbreakable❤️

We didn’t realise until we left 2020 behind us, just how much of a toll it’s taken on the globe and now we are doing the same with 2021,
every single individual has a story to tell, of loss, sadness, loneliness and fear❤️

Do you really want to take these feelings with you or leave them, where they belong in 2021 or are you stuck between two conflicting thoughts;

1. Should I take them with me?
2. Should I leave them behind?

Never forget who you were in 2019 and where you came from, remember every single conversation, interaction whether it be pleasant or not, because these are the lessons and experiences of life, that has taught you and made you the person you are❤️

It’s paramount that you’ve learnt a lesson, for those who haven’t learnt from their past are doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over again, think of it as an exam, that can be taken as many times, until you achieve your 100%❤️

The knowledge of the ancient art of Yoga, have always understood the relationship of the emotions & the mind and their connection to the body, in a far greater depth than the Western world❤️

Yoga & Ayurveda understand, that different emotions are held in different regions of the body and are held by different organs, that causes destructive damage, caused by the individual❤️

Each individual is responsible for their thoughts, no one else can take the blame, as easily as the thoughts are made, they can also be removed❤️

Take a little time each day to Meditate or sit in silence to dissect what’s holding you back, try to get to the root of the problem❤️

When you fully experience your emotions and take heed of their message, they no longer have a grip on you, in any sense❤️

You will feel the energy is clearing you from the inside out, like a detox and will feel calm, but it’s normal you have to let it rage first❤️

Over time, this subtle energy can manifest somatically and psychologically in various ways, to experience feelings of heat, which helps you become more in tune with yourself❤️

Harnessing this Shakti Energy can help you generate ideas and work through your emotions, you will soon begin to realize that this stoppable force, is accelerating you forward to achieve your goals and dreams❤️

Ever underestimate your your own strength, because when push comes to shove, you have no idea how far you will go to protect yourself and stand in your own authority❤️

Never give anyone the privilege to make you happy, because if somebody can make you happy, they can easily make you sad, your

Meditation of Gratitude❤️

As Christmas day draws to an end, we reflect back on the day full of gratitude for who we have in our lives, rather than what we have❤️

Our attitudes have changed and are more in our control, as we are grateful for what we do have, even amidst all that we still may be missing❤️

One unique, but beautiful thing about this Christmas is that it will be quiet, there will be time, space and stillness to experience the beauty of togetherness with those near or distance past❤️

We all have learnt to appreciate the precious gift of human life: ask any woman who’s carried and nurtured a little life in her womb for nine months, you’ll be able to see and feel her strength with positive spirit to transcend, to live with hope for a flourishing future❤️

With so much negativity that still looms over this festive season across the globe, we focus on the uncertainties, that lay ahead for the coming year❤️

Dealing with this stress and fatigue day after day, the world feels merciless and hopeless, but if you sit in the quietness of your inner self, you change the situation by transcending the sadness, to be thankful for the gift of light in your heart❤️

Fears consume and restrict us, taking our focus away from our freedom of life, limiting our courage❤️

Cherish every moment of positivity and focus on small endeavours and tiny victories, that are achieved day in day out❤️

No matter how small or insignificant one feels or helpless to change things, everyone is capable of enormous amounts of kindness, love and gratitude for every good or bad, that comes your way with continuous thanks, like a childlike mind❤️

We grow in resilience, courage, and a deep understanding of ourselves, as we develop and strengthen, due to our struggles of life; We gain wisdom through every wound in our body, where the light enters, to help us proceed ahead❤️

The Yogi’s have always spoken about how to express gratitude and receive the same;
our brain releases dopamine and serotonin, the two very crucial neurotransmitters responsible for our emotions and how they make us feel good, by enhancing our moods immediately, making one feel elated from within❤️

By consciously practicing gratitude everyday, one can help neural pathways to strengthen themselves and ultimately create a permanent grateful and positive empowering nature within❤️

Yoga is a Discipline❤️

Yoga is possible only if the aspirant practises are profound and constant in a Meditative State❤️

One must practise self-restraint at all times, otherwise the senses may become turbulent, without notice: this was the advice by ShreeKrishna to Arjuna:

"O son of Kunti! The excited senses of even a wise man, though he be striving impetuously, carry away his mind. For the mind, which follows in the wake of the wandering senses, carries away his discrimination, as the wind (carries away) a boat on the waters."-Bhagavad-Gita: Ch. II-60, 67)❤️

Understand this advice from Krishna and apply it to your life, by embracing a Yogic pathway of discovery of self-discipline❤️��There exists many words and ideas in the ageless Yogic tradition that express this fact. Here are four points of discipline.

Discipline❤️

Abhyasa describes how to get from commitment and purpose of Yoga to the actual goal of Yoga, which is know as Nirodha - cessation❤️
Abhyasa stands for consistent effort or constant action without interruption, a state of presence in our practice, as well as a willful determination to fully embody this state of discipline❤️��Each morning, I step onto my yoga mat and practice the repetition that is Abhyasa , which is the efficacy that gives me the capacity to produce beneficial results❤️

Vairagya is Abhyasa’s counterpart, which is described as an evolving sensibility of dissociation or disinterest❤️
If Abhyasa embodies the action and efforts of Yoga, Vairagya embodies its surrender: by taking a step back from preferences and desires, but witnessing the actions that propel or impedes one❤️The state of Vairagya disentangles us from the relentless chasing of materialistic desires❤️

Tapas is a spiritual practice, that involve a high degree of self-discipline, solitude and periods of deep meditation❤️
Tapas is a Sanskrit word meaning:
Tap - to be hot

Tapas is the concept of spiritual rebirth and the inner fire needed to achieve it❤️

A disciplined spiritual Yogic pathway can be one type of tapas, those who undertake Tapas is known as a tapasvin -
is powerful yogic term that points to a fiery discipline or austerity,❤️

One of the main goals of yoga is to withdraw from the desires and preferences of the material world in order to reach a state of oneness with the Divine, this requires tapas — an inner experience that’s often associated with the ascetic Yogi❤️

Ashram is another place of self-control and self-discipline and not a holiday to chill out, but rather a place to push all level of discipline to its limits❤️

Ashram life is different than the western lifestyle, the schedules vary drastically, starting with rising at dawn, spending your days in silence, or brushing up on your Sanskrit❤️

The beauty of visiting an ashram, is you get to take a break from all the external noises, so you can bring your attention to your own internal noise, this can be very uncomfortable indeed, especially if we’re not used to taking the vow of silence❤️

Ashram life is all about getting in sync with nature, and this means getting to bed around 9 p.m. and riding at dawn, which is a very healthy way of life and a cornerstone of Ayurveda, the Science of Life❤️

Ashram life is a simple way of living in tune with nature, so no mobile phone, alcohol, ci******es, any other substance, and a vegetarian diet is absolutely essential❤️

With a little patience and practice, one will adapt to this change, and your BodyMindSoul with be eternally grateful, that you made this change❤️

Discipline is a gift, that helps one to arrive at a changeless, unconditional state of identity, known as the TrueSelf, the Atman,
regarded as eternal and imperishable, distinct from the physical body, mind and consciousness, which is found within every living being❤️

The True Self pervades all of existence, it is unconditional, while co-existing with the material world of conditions as explained by Patanjali in the YogaSutras❤️�
