*Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament Kicks Off at HSS Boys Mendhar*

Mendhar, May 23, 2025 – The Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament for Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls commenced today at Higher Secondary School (HSS) Boys Mendhar. Syed Saleem Shah Principal Hss Boys Mendhar was the chief guest during the opening ceremony of the event which was held under the overall supervision of Mr. Mir Alam, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Mendhar.

Organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, District Poonch, Zone Mendhar, the tournament features events in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Badminton, and Chess. The event aims to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.

The employees who were present on the occasion included:
Abrar Ahmed Khan, Suresh Kumar, Sadam Hussain, Waseem Ahmad, Rita Devi, Kafeel Ahmad, Mohd Mobin, Mohd Akram, Shahid Khan, Yasmin Anjum, Muqarab Shah, Tariq Mehmood, Qasim Hussain, Jasmeet Kour, Intazar Ali, Tariq Hussain Shah, Vikram Bhasin,Aurangzeb Ahmed, Mehboob Ahmed, and Mohd Aslam.

All arrangements including ground marking and selection procedures were conducted smoothly.

Mr. Mir Alam addressed the attendees during the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of physical activity and fair competition. He applauded the efforts of the selection committees and institutional heads for their cooperation.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow, May 24, with final matches and a closing ceremony where winners will be felicitated.
