PDP chief Mehbooba's daughter moves court for renewal of passport.

Srinagar, Feb 15: PDP president Mehbooba M***i's daughter Iltija moved the Jammu and Kashmir High Court for issuance of passport, pleading that she needs the travel document immediately to pursue her higher education outside the country.

The 35-year-old said her passport expired on January 2, and she had applied for a fresh one in advance on June 8 last year.

''The passport, as per the instruction manual, is expected to be dispatched within approximately 30 days… the inaction is discriminatory in nature and unconstitutional,'' read the petition filed by the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister's daughter in the high court through her lawyer. In the petition, she said that the passport is required immediately by her as she intends to apply for obtaining a masters degree in sustainable development from outside the country.

''In this view of the matter, the delay occasioned in issuing the passport in favour of the petitioner and thereto in restraining the petitioner from travelling abroad is not only illegal but violates with impunity the mandate of Article 21 of the Constitution of India and the respondents by an appropriate writ are required to be directed to issue passport in favour of the petitioner,'' she said in her petition. The petition has mentioned the Ministry of External Affairs and Additional Director General of Police (CID), Jammu and Kashmir, and the Passport Officer, Srinagar, as respondents.

In March 2021, Mehbooba and 80-year-old mother Gulshan Nazir were refused passports after Jammu and Kashmir Police cited ''adverse report''.

Mehbooba's passport expired on May 31, 2019, and she had applied for a fresh passport on December 11 next year, while her mother, wife of former chief minister M***i Mohammad Sayeed, had also applied for a passport in 2020 to undertake a religious pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

Mehbooba's passport application is still pending but authorities released the passport of her mother last week, a month after the high court passed fresh directions to the passport officer.–(PTI)

Social media polls on various platforms of Poonch Times News have ended.

Riyaaz Bashir Naaz carried out the campaign brilliantly.

Poonch, (PTN) a social media platform on which an analysis was conducted to know the political composition of various political leaders of Haveli Constituency of Poonch, a 4-day long campaign on PTN's various social media networks i.e Facebook and WhatsApp. The polling campaign ended yesterday and the results are being made public today.

Member of District Development Council Loran Riyaaz Bashir Naaz won the social media campaign by securing 1085 votes out of 2635 polled yesterday, followed by Shah Mohd Tantray with 386 votes. Mr Naaz won the campaign with a huge margin of 669 votes.

Apart from this, Choudhary Abdul Ghani got 381 votes, Shamim Ganai got 358 votes, Dr.Shehnaz Ganai got 214 votes while Ajaz Jan got 211 votes.

The survey clearly showed that more than 60% of the youth are supporting Riyaaz Bashir Naaz, 12% in favor of Shah Mohd Tantray, 07% in favor of Choudhary Abdul Ghani, 06% in favor of Shamim Ganai while 06% in favor of Dr. Shahnaz Ganai and 5% youth are supporting Ajaz Jan.

Looking at the passion of the youth towards Riyaaz Naaz, it seems that Riyaaz Naaz will emerge as an excellent leader in the coming time in Poonch Haveli. The entire team of Poonch Times congratulates Mr Riyaaz Bashir Naaz on this achievement and wishes best of luck to all other leaders.

ممبر ضلع ترقیاتی کونسل لورن ریاض بشیر ناز نے کل پول ہوۓ 2635 میں سے 1085 ووٹ حاصل کر کے سوشل میڈیا مہم جیت لی اس کے بعد شاہ محمد تانترے 386 ووٹ لے کر دوسرے نمبر پر رہے اور ناز نے 669 ووٹوں کے بھاری مارجن سے اس کمپین کو جیتا۔

اس کے علاوہ چوہدری عبدالغنی نے 381، شمیم احمد گنائی نے 358، ڈاکٹر شہناز گنائی نے 214 جب کہ اعجاز جان نے 211 ووٹ حاصل کیے۔

سروے میں واضح طور پر ظاہر ہوا کہ 60% سے زیادہ نوجوان ریاض بشیر ناز کی حمایت کر رہے ہیں، 12% شاہ محمد تانترے کے حق میں، 07% چوہدری عبدالغنی کے حق میں، 06% شمیم گنائی کے حق میں جبکہ 06% ڈاکٹر شہناز گنائی اور 5% نوجوان اعجاز جان کی حمایت کر رہے ہیں۔

نوجوانوں کے ریاض ناز کے تئیں جذبے کو دیکھتے ہوئے لگتا ہے کہ پونچھ حویلی میں آنے والے وقت میں ریاض ناز ایک بہترین لیڈر بن کر ابھریں گے۔ پونچھ ٹائمز کی پوری ٹیم اس کامیابی پر ریاض ناز کو مبارکباد و باقی لیڈران کے لئے نیک خواہشات کا اظہار کرتی ہے۔

Tanveer Choudhary condoles demise of Yashpal Sharma Ji Poonch JANUARY 23, 2022: Apni Party provincial Secretary youth wing(Jammu) and All Tribal Coordination Committee Poonch District President Tanveer Choudhary has condoled the demise of Ex-MLC Poonch Yashpal Sharma Ji. In his condolence message, Choudhary said that the sudden demise of Yashpal Sharma Ji has shocked him. He said that he was the leader of the masses and his work will not be forgotten for the people. He said that his demise has left a void in politics which can hardly be filled. “We are saddened at his demise. Expressing sympathy with the bereaved family members, he prayed for the peace of the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
