Thapasya Library Nedungottur

Thapasya library is a rural library located in beautiful green area of Nedungottur. This library is initiated by few youngsters of Nedungottur in 2006 - 5th July - just after a world cup football final day. The idea of starting a library was from Mr.Painkal Saidalavi, Mr.Prajish P, and few other crews. It was a followup program of occasional activities like organizing combined watching of euro-cup

football, world cup football and other festivals in public place etc. After the successful initiation and collecting of books from locals, we started the library in alakkadavu. Around six months later the active involvement of Mr.Muneer TP lead the Thapasya to gain the affiliation of Kerala State Library Council. then after the affiliation and stability to library's routine functionality he handed over the charge of librarian to Mr. Nizar Nedungottur. Till now 2013 Mr. Nizar Nedungottur continues serving people of nedungottur to read and realize. We have received contiguous support from people of Nedungottur and from volunteers of state library council to move forward. Now we have a bulk collection of books in our shelf which is available for lending. As it is a non profit organization we are receiving donations from volunteers to go on. "Promoter"
