La verdad. El Buda 🙏

Un día, el Buda caminaba por un pueblo. Un joven muy enojado y grosero se acercó y comenzó a insultarlo. "No tienes derecho a enseñar a otros", gritó. "Eres tan estúpido como todos los demás. ¡No eres más que un falso!"

El Buda no se molestó por estos insultos. En cambio, le preguntó al joven: "Dime, si compras un regalo para alguien y esa persona no lo acepta, ¿a quién pertenece el regalo?"

El joven se sorprendió de que le hicieran una pregunta tan extraña y respondió: "Me pertenecería, porque compré el regalo".

El Buda sonrió y dijo: "Eso es correcto. Y es exactamente lo mismo con tu ira. Si te enojas conmigo y no me insulta, entonces la ira recae sobre ti. Entonces eres el único que se vuelve infeliz, no yo. Todo lo que has hecho es hacerte daño ".

One day the Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up and began insulting him. "You have no right teaching others," he shouted. "You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake!"

The Buddha was not upset by these insults. Instead he asked the young man, "Tell me, if you buy a gift for someone, and that person does not take it, to whom does the gift belong?"

The young man was surprised to be asked such a strange question and answered, "It would belong to me, because I bought the gift."

The Buddha smiled and said, "That is correct. And it is exactly the same with your anger. If you become angry with me and I do not get insulted, then the anger falls back on you. You are then the only one who becomes unhappy, not me. All you have done is hurt yourself."

"Es muy importante no solo soportar el dolor, el sufrimiento y las dificultades en el camino, sino también llevar cosas buenas en el camino. Estas son las preocupaciones mundanas, no es solo una pérdida, sino también una ganancia. No es solo la culpa, también es un elogio. No es solo una mala reputación, también es una buena reputación. No es solo dolor, también es placer. Todo tiene que ser tomado en el camino. No es que tratamos de evitar uno y ganar el otro y eso resolverá nuestros problemas. Ambos lados. Si nos aferramos a uno y evitamos el otro, entonces estamos de vuelta en un estado de ser muy mundano. Y muy inseguro. Porque nunca vamos a obtener todas las cosas que queremos y las cosas que no queremos. La cosa es estar abierto a lo que venga, cualquier lado que ocurra y simplemente atravesarlo. Como un bote sobre las olas.

It’s not just blame it’s also praise. It’s not just a bad reputation it’s also a good reputation. It’s not just pain it’s also pleasure. All of it has to be taken on the path. It’s not that were trying to avoid one and gain the other and that will solve our problems. Both sides. If we just cling to one and avoid the other then we’re back in a very mundane state of being. And, very insecure. Because we’re never going to get all the things we want and the things we don’t want. The thing is to be open to whatever comes, whatever side happens and just go through it. Like a boat on waves.”
