3. Lack of Representation: There is a stark underrepresentation of women in key decision-making roles in the industry, such as directors, producers, and scriptwriters. This underrepresentation contributes to the perpetuation of gender biases and the marginalization of female voices.

4. Unfair Pay Practices: The report highlights the significant wage gap between male and female actors. Women are often paid much less than their male counterparts, even when they have similar or more significant roles.

5. Inadequate Support Systems: The commission found that there are insufficient support systems for women in the industry, such as lack of proper facilities, protection mechanisms, and grievance redressal procedures. This makes it difficult for women to work in a safe and dignified environment.

6. Role of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists): The report criticized AMMA for not taking adequate steps to address gender discrimination and harassment in the industry. It suggested that AMMA has failed to protect the interests of female members.

7. Cultural and Societal Pressures: The report also notes that cultural and societal pressures contribute to the challenges faced by women in the industry. There is a prevailing culture of silence, where women are expected to tolerate discrimination and harassment as part of the profession.

8. Recommendations: The commission made several recommendations, including the establishment of an internal complaints committee in film production companies, mandatory gender sensitization training, and the creation of a safe and equitable working environment for all members of the film industry.

9. Need for Legal Reforms: The report emphasized the need for legal reforms and strict enforcement of existing laws to protect the rights of women in the industry. It also called for the industry to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment and gender discrimination.

10. Awareness and Training Programs: The commission recommended conducting regular awareness and training programs to sensitize the industry about gender issues, ensuring that all members understand the importance of gender equality and the legal implications of harassment.
