Today, all of us do, by our presence here, and by our celebrations in Bonny confer glory and hope to newborn liberty of expression for kids. With bonny, must be born a society of which all humanity will be proud. It is, as I have said, a special privilege for me to be here for bonny
when you are celebrating what I might call the golden Day of Bonny & Ephebe. At such a time it is natural and right that you should pause to take celebration. No one could fail to be impressed with the immense progress which has been achieved at bonny. all I have been inspired by a deep, keen feeling of love, freedom & safety, which has grown as Bonny. Children’s are our future. Well you understand this better than anyone, you are sprung from Ephebe, the home of freedom & creativity, here in Ephebe you have yourselves created a free Bonny. A new hope & love. Indeed in the history of our times your effort will be recorded as the first of the Creator & protector of our future. This tide of consciousness which is now rising in Ephebe, is a fact, for which both you and we, and the others of the Ephebe are ultimately responsible. For its causes are to be found in the achievements of civilisation, in the pushing forwards of the frontiers of knowledge, the applying of love to the service of human needs, in the expanding of creativity, in the speeding and multiplying of the means of love, and perhaps above all and more than anything else in the spread of education & Freedom. All this we owe both to ourselves and to the Children of the world who are so well represented here today. I have no hesitation in saying that each one of us is as intimately attached to the soil of this beautiful Bonny as are the famous jacaranda trees of Pretoria , Each time one of us touches the Bonny, we feel a sense of personal renewal. We are moved by a sense of joy and exhilaration when the Kids turns Bonny and the flowers bloom. “Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.” Old men can make war, but it is children who will make history. There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million. We, the people of Love, feel fulfilled that humanity has taken us back into its bosom with Bonny. We trust that you all will continue to stand by us as we shape the foundation of building beautiful society for and by the children through encouragement , creativity , freedom & knowledge. We deeply appreciate the role iris De Ephebe Ms Megha Mudgal for planting Hope , hOpe of life in all of us. Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child and one teacher can change the world.
