The lineup displayed admirable gameplay throughout the day and registered 75 points on the scoreboard despite not getting a single Chicken Dinner. Orangutan Gaming dominated the opening day of the BGMI Red Bull M.E.O Season 6 Finals. The Ash-led squad grabbed 80 points at an average of 16, exhibiting their supremacy. Celsius Esports stood second with 65 points, followed by Enigma Gaming with 55 points. Revenant Esports finished fourth with 41 points, including 18 eliminations.

Team Soul played two good games but was disappointing in the other three encounters. The club took the sixth position with 37 points in the overall leaderboard. Gladiators Esports was eighth with 18 points after a modest performance today. Loose Ends, an underdog, claimed the ninth spot with 28 points.

The team recently finished fifth in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023. With the latest addition to their roster, they will be looking to dominate in the upcoming event.

The announcement video was a continuation of the teaser released yesterday. Ranveer can be seen playing the game on the movie sets as he says (translated from Hindi):

The early stages of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 are already underway, and multiple teams from the country are showcasing their skills and hoping to reach the subsequent phases. Indian esports enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to in the coming months as the most popular sport and video game, Cricket and BGMI, respectively, will host flagship events.

Initially, the Grand Finals of the BGIS 2023 was planned for three days from October 12 to 14. However, Krafton has tweaked the schedule as the company has now decided to hold the Grand Finals on October 12, 13, and 15. Due to the cricket game between India and Pakistan on 14 October, the publisher decided not to organize any matches of the Finals on that day.

In a recent livestream, Soul Amit revealed the reasons behind benching Hector in the initial stages of both BGMS Season 2 and BGIS 2023 The Grind. He also revealed how he decides the playing four for the matches.

Soul Amit said, “We played Akshat, Neyo, Goblin and Omega during BGIS 2023 The Grind qualifiers because there are a limited number of points required to qualify for the further stages. When we play with Hector we have to play for the chicken dinner and try to grab the maximum number of points. When playing for the chicken dinner, taking a 4v4 fight becomes a disadvantage. At the same time when we add Akshat or Neyo to the lineup there are more chances of winning the 4v4 fights, but we may miss out on the chicken dinner”.

He also said, “When we play Hector in the playing four our gun power becomes comparatively weaker and it is difficult to initiate 4v4 fights. If we want to secure 4 to 8 finish points it becomes important to play Akshat, and if we want to secure the chicken dinner with maximum points we have to play Hector in that scenario. No lineup is perfect, both the lineups have their own advantages and flaws. I knew the lineup which we played in the qualifiers would not work in the finals as we have to play a more chicken dinner oriented gameplay, so i had to try that lineup in the initial stages of the tournament”.
