ഏഴാം വയസ്സിൽ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ മരിച്ച് അനാഥയായ രാജേശ്വരിയെ കാഞ്ഞ ങ്ങാട്ടെ അബ്ദുള്ള ഖദീജ ദമ്പതികൾ മകളായി ഏറ്റെടുത്തു വളർത്തി.

പിന്നീട് വളർത്തി വലുതാക്കി, പഠിപ്പി ച്ചു.ഒടുവിൽ വയസ്സ് 22 തികഞ്ഞ് വിവാ ഹ പ്രായം എത്തിയപ്പോൾ, അനുയോ ജ്യനായ വരനെകണ്ടെത്തി കാഞ്ഞ ങ്ങാട്ടെ മാന്യോട്ട് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വച്ച് ഹിന്ദു ആചാരപ്രകാരം വിവാഹം നടത്തി....

അതിഥികൾക്ക് സമൃദ്ധമായ സദ്യയും നൽകി ചടങ്ങ് മംഗളമാക്കി യാണ് അബ്ദുള്ള തന്റെ പിതൃകർത്തവ്യം പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചത്...

അമ്മയുടെ വിയോഗത്തിൻ്റെ വേദനയിൽ കുറിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഈ വാക്കുകൾ. പെറ്റമ്മയോളം സ്നേഹം കഥാപാത്രത്തിനും ഞാനെന്ന വ്യക്തിക്കും എക്കാലത്തും പകർന്നു തന്ന എൻ്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട പൊന്നമ്മച്ചേച്ചി. മലയാളത്തിലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട പ്രേക്ഷകർക്കും ഞങ്ങൾ അമ്മയും മകനും ആയിരുന്നു. എത്ര കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞാലും അമ്മയ്ക്ക് മകൻ മകൻ തന്നെയാണ് എന്ന സത്യം വിളിച്ചോതുന്നതായിരുന്നു, പല കാലഘട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ച ചിത്രങ്ങൾ. പൊന്നമ്മച്ചേച്ചിയോടൊപ്പം മകനായി അഭിനയിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നിട്ടില്ല എനിക്ക് ഒരിക്കലും, ജീവിക്കുക തന്നെയായിരുന്നു. കിരീടം, ഭരതം, വിയറ്റ്നാം കോളനി, ദശരഥം, നാട്ടുരാജാവ്, വടക്കും നാഥൻ, കിഴക്കുണരും പക്ഷി, ഒപ്പം.. പൊന്നമ്മച്ചേച്ചി മാതൃത്വം പകർന്നുതന്ന എത്രയെത്ര സിനിമകൾ. മകൻ അല്ലായിരുന്നിട്ടും മകനേ എന്ന് വിളിച്ച് ഓടിവരുന്ന ‘ഹിസ് ഹൈനസ് അബ്ദുള്ള’ യിലെ കഥാപാത്രം പോലെയായിരുന്നു ജീവിതത്തിൽ പൊന്നമ്മച്ചേച്ചി എനിക്കും..വിതുമ്പുന്ന വാക്കുകൾക്കൊണ്ട്, ചേച്ചിക്ക് ആദരാഞ്ജലികൾ അർപ്പിക്കാനാവുന്നില്ല.. ഓർമ്മകളിൽ എന്നും ആ മാതൃസ്നേഹം നിറഞ്ഞുതുളുമ്പും..
