🌍✈️ The aviation industry is taking bold steps toward sustainability! In our latest episode of "Future of Transport: Innovative and Sustainable," delivered to you by Edmonton International Airport (YEG), we highlight the sector's innovative efforts to reduce its environmental impact as both passenger and cargo traffic soar.

YEG is leading the way in sustainability, enhancing recycling, reusing construction materials, and using sustainable concrete with CarbonCure Technologies. They also repurpose asphalt from runway projects, utilise stormwater for compaction, and offer multi-stream waste containers for passengers.

Along with YEG, other airports worldwide also tackle waste innovatively to reduce their carbon footprint. For instance, Hactl is turning recycled plastic bottles into uniforms.

Global airlines and partners are also making big moves in sustainability. LATAM Airlines has introduced reusable pallet covers for cargo, drastically reducing the need for plastic stretch film.
