Coupe SUVs/crossovers are going to become a popular segment in the coming months, with both ICE and electric powertrains.

will launch the Curvv with the electric version first, followed by the ICE version.

While will launch the ICE Basalt first, and the EV later.

Which one do you think looks better? I think the Basalt looks more proportional, compared to the Curvv. But how that translates to the road presence is yet to be seen.

ICE (below, nicer colour me thinks) gets those “machined technical” elements in the grille that we saw (sort of) on Harrier & Safari face lifts, all those openings feeding air into the power train

🚨 Personal opinion?

✅ I like the nose of the ICE. Has more character.

✅ I like the wheels on the ICE (got that Alfa telephone-dial thing going on)

🛑 Rear of both look too bulbous to me. The result of the designers’ SUV-Coupe roof line having to accommodate the engineers’ rear headroom mandate, culminating at the mid-SUV category’s 4.2-meter length stipulation

🛑 And it also looks under-tyred. These are 18s. Clearly it has been styled for 19s, maybe even 20s, and I wonder what the stance will be like on the 17s of the lower versions. Tata Motors probably haven’t recovered from the traumatic warranty issues of the Hexa’s 19-inch tyres

🚨 Verdict 👉 Full marks to for being brave. Going against convention. Trying something new. In a sea of same-same this will turn heads. Respect ✊️
