Tri Thonnur

Dear All,

With a heavy heart we would like to announce that this years Tri Thonnur is not happening.
We did seek all permissions for the same along with the Thonnur Swimathon event itself to fast track things. Also most of the partners / vendors were given a heads up about this event post the Swimathon.
However since this is the inaugural year for IRONMAN 70.3 Goa, the efforts involved are incredibly high and the core Yoska team is fully engaged with the same.
Safety and experience of participants are of utmost importance to us, so the core team has decided not to take up Tri Thonnur since we are unable to focus 100% on this.

Since the intention was never to drop Tri Thonnur for this year, we held on to the hope till now. This has not been an easy decision for us, but we believe this is the right thing to do given our current circumstances.

We are committed to grow Thonnur events to foster the Triathlon and endurance community in India, and so we will plan ourselves better for 2020.
We will certainly revisit the calendar of events and plan appropriately.

We do understand your disappointment, our sincere apologies for the same.

This is how Tri Thonnur had it's beginning in 2012! It started with a glorious participation of 24 Triathletes for the Sprint and Olympic distances combined!
It has been one long journey of 7 editions from then until now for us at ENDURO.
We have loved this experience along with the Thonnur Swimathon and Chamundi Hill Challenge in later years. With all three of them growing bigger, Ajit Thandur, Anil Alur, Prajwal Prasad, Abhilash Kashyap V, Vijay K Rangaiah and Naveen Solanki are unable to cope with time and effort these races demand. We thought it is time for handing over these races from passion driven amateur hands to a professional platform like Yoska. We are pained on the one hand to be handing over guard but are happy to facilitate the growth of these races.
Many thanks to all triathletes, runners and swimmers who have showered their love and affection on us all these years. Many of us have become great friends in the process. All the best, all of you!

We have some news for you.
When Enduro started Tri Thonnur 7 years back, we wanted to have fun, we wanted to bring more people to the sport, we wanted people to fearlessly swim in the open waters. We are glad Tri Thonnur has established itself as one of the leading open water Triathlon events in India and has been a stepping stone for many first-time triathletes. As we grew we not only built a strong community of athletes, we also built a strong community of locals at Thonnur.
It is time for Tri Thonnur to get bigger and better. As it grows bigger, the current Enduro team is unable to allocate resources full time. Team ENDURO is very glad to hand over the Tri Thonnur baton to Yoska

Yoska is rated #1 Triathlon Club in India by IRONMAN for 2017 & 2018 and is also the proud organizer of IRONMAN 70.3 Goa.
Deepak Raj, a 20 time IRONMAN finisher who is the head coach at Yoska has been the Brand Ambassador for Tri Thonnnur from inception and Team Yoska has been closely involved with our events from past couple of years.
So we believe the transition will be smooth and the passion for the sport will continue under Yoska.

The team Enduro will continue to provide support during the transition to all stakeholders including athletes, the local community at Thonnur, partners and Sponsors.
