Short Cut Stories is a creative agency that specialises in storytelling with lucid brevity. The short content films we produce are affordable and can help companies gain visibility across social media platforms, create an awareness for new products and build greater loyalty. We poke, we post, we pin, we tag.
We photograph things we do, things we eat, things we have.
We facebook, snapchat and
instagram.
If Prince could rewrite the song today, this would be a Sign o’ the Times…
We know that the internet has democratised information, made it accessible to one and all at the touch of a button and swipe of a thumb. Now we wield this power in the palm of our hand. We can research the products we lust after, the holidays we long for or the restaurants we are eager to try and within seconds we have access to reviews, ratings, prices and deals.
The true power however still rests with those that made us "lend them our ears” - Shakespeare, Disney, Spielberg, Jobs. Because who doesn’t love a good story! We all connect to the primal emotions of joy and sadness, we remember what made us smile, we shed collective tears. Stories move us and shape our decisions. We don’t just buy products anymore, we buy into the way those products make us feel. The challenge, however, is that the Facebook generation has an attention span of a mere 8 seconds, shorter than that of a goldfish! We are judge, jury and executioner of all content within the first 5 to 10 seconds! We only want little nuggets of engaging, visual content so we can “tweet” and “hashtag” those products and experiences to share them with our friends, our families, our tribes. Real people, sharing real thoughts and real images often in real time! Never before has the term "viral" been a good thing!
The bottom line is, whether you are a small business or a corporate giant, there is and always will be a need for content, for telling your stories. And without a doubt, there is tremendous power in a story well told. Especially when it is told beautifully, honestly and… quickly! Let us tell yours. Sheena Sippy and Siddharth Gogel
