Nirbhay Pathik is Mumbai’s Hindi Daily Newspaper founded by technocrat Mr. Ved Prakash Goyal (Ex-Union Minister for Shipping, Government of India) on 4th October 1984.The name Nirbhay Pathik was coined by Ex-Prime Minister of India, Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Nirbhay Pathik is an unbiased and independent forum for nationalist views. The newspaper is owned by Citizen Communications, a publishing house in Wadala, Mumbai. Intention behind initiating this noble thought was to create a means for Cultural, Social and Literary contribution to the society. Nirbhay Pathik being a newspaper, also propounded the idea of newspaper business on zero investment. It generated business through goodwill of readers and society and created a new business entrepreneurship as well journalistic history. It showed path of doing business with low investment and unique dedicated team. It created a market for advertising and job opportunities for thousands of enthusiastic individuals in journalism and in the printing industry.

History

The motive to start the newspaper was to propagate national views on the current affairs during the 1980’s. Also, in the year 1984, there was a strike in Mumbai’s leading Hindi newspaper and the voice of Hindi speaking population was then catered by Nirbhay Pathik. Those days Atal ji was in Mumbai, and the Pathik team was intensely involved in the planning of the publication, on informing him about the activities he said, “Journalism needs to be fearless” and this is how the name Nirbhay Pathik came into existence.
