Elon Musk pledged to donate $6 billion to the World Food Programme — if the organization can show him it would solve world hunger.

Musk was responding to comments by David Beasley, director of the WFP, who called on the world’s wealthiest to "step up" and pledge money to the cause.

Beasley has specifically called out the Tesla CEO and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, saying $6 billion — a small percentage of their wealth — could keep 42 million people from dying. Musk challenged Beasley to elaborate on his plan on Twitter.

According to the latest Bloomberg Billionaires’ Index, Musk’s net worth hit $302 billion as of Thursday. His wealth increased by $10 billion on Thursday after Tesla inked a huge deal with Hertz for the rental giant to buy 100,000 of its vehicles.

Hertz Global Holdings Inc. placed an order for 100,000 Teslas and filings showed a fresh tranche of options in his moonshot pay package vested.

It’s the biggest one-day gain in the history of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, eclipsing Chinese tycoon 
Zhong Shanshan’s $32 billion surge last year when his bottled-water company, Nongfu Spring Co, went public. Musk’s net worth of $288.6 billion is now greater than the market value of Exxon Mobil Corp. or Nike Inc.

Tesla Inc shares rose 13% on news of the Hertz order, pushing its market value past $1 trillion.

No. The GTA Trilogy remaster will feature mostly unchanged graphics, and unchanged animations.

Yes, you read that right. Now read it again, and weep. Is this a surprise, though? No. Does it still hurt? Yes. But, let me get more detailed, to really drive the pain home, because u/GtaCheaterMan goes into great detail on what to expect and what not to expect from the upcoming GTA Trilogy Remaster:

Games will look mostly the same as versions from 2000s

Textures were upscaled

Faces were updated to look less triangular

Lighting is changed to dynamic lighting

Gameplay animations are identical

Animations in cutscenes were updated – characters now have fingers and better facial animations, which apparently don't fit the otherwise outdated low poly models

Car damage changed to dynamic, rather than set damage models

The cities look exactly the same, except for better lighting

There will be no new content, except for a GTA III cheat that adds snow

Orbiting at an altitude of over 700 kilometers, the Landsat – 9 will take the mantle from Landsat - 7 and continue monitoring minute changes in the Earth’s ecologies and landscapes.

The Landsat Program has catalogued the earth’s changing landscapes, from the rise of the megacities to the decline of forests, glaciers, and the evolution of deserts and coastlines.

It has been used to monitor the behaviour and habitat of various species of wildlife, from wildebeest in the African savannah, to the walruses in Antarctica. According to NASA, it is the most economically impactful Earth science program in history. While there have many technically advanced imaging satellites, none have been close to Landsat in longevity and reliability.
