**Bengaluru, December 26, 2024**: Karnataka’s homegrown dairy brand **Nandini** has introduced a new ready-to-cook **idli and dosa batter** enriched with **5% whey protein**, aiming to provide a healthier and more nutritionally balanced version of traditional South Indian breakfast staples. The product was launched on Wednesday at **Vidhana Soudha** by **Chief Minister Siddaramaiah**, alongside ministers **K Venkatesh**, **Krishna Byregowda**, and **Dinesh Gundu Rao**.

**Mangaluru, December 26, 2024**: The mortal remains of Anoop Poojary (31), one of the five soldiers from the Maratha Light Infantry (MLI) unit killed in an accident in the Balnoi area of Mendhar, Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, were brought to Mangaluru early Thursday morning. A special aircraft carrying his body landed at Mangaluru Airport.

In a show of solidarity, **DK MP Captain Brijesh Chowta**, **Udupi-Chikkamagalur MP Kota Srinivas Poojary**, and **Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Anand** were present to assist in the solemn transfer of the coffin from the aircraft to the vehicle.

The mortal remains will be taken in an open vehicle procession from **Tekkatte** to his hometown **Beejadi**, passing through **Koteshwar**. The final rites are set to take place at **Padushale** in Beejadi, as per family sources.

Kundapur, December 25, 2024: A soldier from Beejadi in Kundapur is among the five people killed after an army truck fell into a gorge near the borders in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The deceased is Anoop Poojary (31). He is among the three soldiers from Karnataka who died in the tragic mishap.

Anoop, who had been serving in the army for the past 13 years, was a part of the Maratha Battalion. He is survived by his wife and two-year-old daughter.

Anoop had recently returned to duty after spending time at home for holidays. He had visited the Kodi Habba at Koteshwar on December 15 and celebrated his daughter's birthday shortly before his untimely death.

The mortal remains of Anoop are expected to arrive on December 26, Thursday, and the last rites will be held at Beejadi.
