A waqf, also spelled wakf, is an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law, typically donating a building or plot of land or even cash for Muslim religious or charitable purposes with no intention of reclaiming the assets. Waqf means to stop, contain, or to preserve, it is a voluntary, permanent, irrevocable dedication of a portion of one’s wealth – in cash or kind – to Allah. It belongs to A
llah and the corpus of the waqf always remains intact. The donated assets are held by a charitable trust. The Waqf Properties are spread out not only all over the country (india) but also in most Islamic state such as Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia present there selves as a follower or rather the biggest role model of this practice which is considered to be a sunnah but while taking India or and other south asian countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh etc show that even the basic survey of waqf properties have not been completed in most of the its States and many such properties are left barren and un-used by the muslim population as the knowledge is not of substantial ratio. There is hardly any development of Waqf Properties and therefore, a very substantial income that the Waqf Properties could have generated for the welfare schemes of the community, are lost every year. the main is to disseminate every content regarding the waqf or Auqaf system
