Of late, I’ve been heavily interacting with clients of all sorts based out of different geographies, and it’s remarkable to see the different temperaments each one of them carries. I quickly learned how one can simplify pitches, implement the One-Sentence Rule, ask ‘So What?’ to focus on value, and keep explanations simple. As someone who has to close business deals not just by winning a deal but by winning the confidence of customers, it’s imperative to advocate for clarity, as all clients look for straightforward communication over technical jargon, irrespective of their culture and geography. I’m so deeply immersed in my work that nowadays all I can think about is business. It’s on my mind until I travel soon.

Do I have fellow travelers who can relate to ‘Sales & Marketing’?

Keep flowing!!

I’m standing opposite the Shiv Dhanush Bridge at Har Ki Pauri, watching the sun go down. The Ganga River below is rushing by, and there’s this cool breeze brushing against me. About Dhanush Bridge? Constructed during Ardh Kumbh in 2016 and is known for its unique architecture and beautiful design. This bridge was to serve link between Har-ki-Pauri and Delhi-Rishikesh National Highway. And, watching it all against the setting sun is just pure bliss.

A palatte of infinite shades~Sangam in Prayagraj is a mesmerising convergence point of three sacred rivers: the Ganga, the Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati. But what truly captivates the soul is the ever-changing mood of the sky above this sacred site.

Imagine standing at the banks of Sangam, witnessing the sky transform from a vibrant canvas of oranges and pinks during sunrise to a tranquil sea of blues and purples at sunset. The interplay of light and clouds creates a symphony of colours, painting a picture that words alone cannot capture.

Not only does Sangam offer a feast for the senses with its celestial displays, but it also holds profound spiritual significance. Pilgrims from around the world flock to this sacred site to cleanse their sins and partake in the age-old rituals performed along its banks.

Beyond its spiritual allure, Sangam is steeped in history and legend. It is believed to be the spot where Lord Brahma, the creator in Hindu mythology, performed the first yagna (sacrificial ritual) after creating the universe. This mythological connection adds an enchanting layer to the already mystical atmosphere of Sangam.

For fellow travellers seeking an unforgettable experience, a visit to Sangam is a must. Whether you are drawn to its spiritual aura, its breathtaking natural beauty, or its rich cultural heritage, Sangam offers something truly special for every soul that crosses its path. Have you visited this divine place yet?

You know what fascinates me the most about traveling to places that are not much explored or talked about? It’s a sense of belongingness. I have never been a crowd person. From a small group of friends to a handful of people I can count on or trust, I have always stayed in my little space, much like these places holding so many stories yet very few to share with. These are my kind of places—choicest, and calm. ☺️

What are your kind of places?

This love is mutual. No matter where I go, I always effortlessly make friends with them. Here, my friends gave me company while I stood on a huge rock to witness the view. The weather of Sikkim made my heart pound a little harder, and I’m sure it significantly increased my RBC count, as my face had a rare red glow, lol. I explored all of Sikkim in 9 exciting days, except for a few inaccessible spots. We kept our plans flexible due to the unpredictable weather. Initially, we aimed to visit Yumthang and Tsomgo on day two, but snowy roads delayed us until day three. Luckily, we finally made it, enjoying breathtaking views on days four and five. The weather cooperated perfectly, offering us stunning photo opportunities. And, could spend ample time at each spot absorbing in the beauty. Truly, a trip of a lifetime!

Would you plan a visit to Sikkim this year? Do take some tips 😉

Aren’t Buddhist monasteries beautiful? 💙💛💚♥️

As I got to the King’s Palace Monastery early one rainy morning, it felt really calm. Inside, I heard monks chanting prayers in a beautiful way. The colours on the walls looked so bright and pretty, especially with the soft light.

This monastery is renowned for its vibrant colours, reflecting traditional Tibetan aesthetics. Adorned with colourful murals, intricate thangka paintings, and ornate decorations, the monastery creates a visually stunning environment. These bright hues symbolize aspects of Buddhist teachings, such as wisdom and compassion, while also enhancing the monastery’s aesthetic appeal.

After a long 13-hour journey, we finally made it to Gangtok. Instead of resting like we probably should have, we decided to go check out MG Road, a popular spot, even though it was almost closing time at 9 or 10 pm. We got there around 8 pm and it was totally worth it. The street was lit up and bustling with people, shops, and excitement. We even had to hurry to catch a taxi, but it was all part of the fun.

MG Road is basically the main street in Gangtok, where you can find lots of shops, restaurants, and cool stuff. It’s a mix of old and new buildings, and at night, it looks really pretty with all the lights.

Looking back, going to MG Road was a great idea. It was tiring but exciting, and we made some awesome memories.

Now, I’m thinking, what other cool things are waiting for us to discover in Gangtok?

As I stood by the edge of the Siliguri-Gangtok highway, gazing at the majestic bridge spanning across the rushing river below, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer beauty of the scene before me. The sun cast its golden rays upon the surrounding mountains, painting them in different shades of green, while the cool breeze carried the scent of pine trees and fresh mountain air.

However, amidst this serene backdrop, I couldn’t shake off the lingering thought of how unpredictable life can be. Just a few months ago, the bridge parallel to this and the major portion of the land beneath had been swept away by a glacial flood, a stark reminder of nature’s formidable power. It was a humbling experience, standing there, witnessing the resilience of both nature and human efforts to rebuild hope and adapt.

In that moment, I found myself reflecting on the fragility of our existence and the importance of cherishing every moment. The Siliguri-Gangtok highway, with its breathtaking views and unforeseen challenges, served as a poignant reminder of life’s unpredictability and the need to embrace the beauty of each passing moment, for we never know what tomorrow may bring.

Do you remember the Sikkim floods in October 2023?

That ‘W’ signifies West Bengal, for those following my journey. Nonetheless, upon arriving at Bagdogra Airport from 7 degrees temperature, I found myself at 23 degrees straight and trust me it was annoying. En route to Gangtok, anticipated a more favourable climate. Here are some lesser-known facts about Bagdogra Airport and the route to Gangtok

1. Scenic Route: The route from Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including the majestic Kanchenjunga peak. It’s a treat for nature lovers and photographers alike.

2. Siliguri Corridor: Bagdogra Airport is situated in the Siliguri Corridor, also known as the Chicken’s Neck, which is a narrow stretch of land connecting mainland India with its northeastern states. This makes it a strategically important location.

3. Tea Estates: Along the route to Gangtok, travellers pass by several tea estates, including the famous Makaibari Tea Estate. These estates offer guided tours where visitors can learn about tea cultivation and processing.

4. River Teesta: The route follows the beautiful Teesta River for a significant part of the journey. The river is known for its white water rafting opportunities and is a lifeline for the region’s agriculture and hydropower projects.

5. Toy Train: While not commonly known, there is a toy train route that connects New Jalpaiguri (near Bagdogra) to Darjeeling, passing through picturesque landscapes and charming hill stations. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a unique travel experience.

6. Adventure Sports: In addition to white water rafting on the Teesta River, the region around Gangtok offers opportunities for paragliding, trekking, and mountain biking, making it a haven for adventure enthusiasts.

7. Historical Significance: The area surrounding Bagdogra and Gangtok has rich historical significance, with influences from various cultures including Tibetan, Nepali, and British colonial. Exploring local monasteries, temples, and colonial architecture can provide insight into the region’s diverse heritage.
