After ‘NC will contest upcoming elections alone’ rhetoric, Farooq now says ‘will not leave INDIA bloc till last breath’
Srinagar: Speaking at the mammoth gathering of political leaders and activists in Ramlila Maidan New Delhi, former Chief Minister Jammu & Kashmir Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Sunday emphasized that he will not leave INDIA bloc till his last breath.

Abdullah reiterated that there is a need to make INDIA bloc stronger for the larger interest of Constitution of the country.

“Today our aim is to save Constitution of the country. You see there is an assault on our Constitution. Even Chief Justice of India (CJI) is getting threats. This is our situation today where we are stuck into,” Dr. Farooq Abdullah as per Kashmir News Service (KNS) said.

Without naming BJP, the former J&K Chief Minister said that today people are being made ready to fight to each other. “People are fighting to each other. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christians and other faiths of people are fighting each other. We have to wake up and raise our voice against this deadly situation. We have to realize the sensitivity of the situation and vote against those who made us to reach to this dreaded situation,” Dr. Farooq said.

Pertinently the ‘Loktantra Bachao’ (Save Democracy) rally is being held at Ramlila Maidan and is being seen as a show of strength and unity by the INDIA bloc ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

The rally is being attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, senior party leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) supremo Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, PDP chief Mehbooba M***i, Trinamool Congress’ Derek O’Brien, and others.

The rally also extended solidarity to Aam Admi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Jharkhand CM Hemand Soren and others who have been arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Dr. Farooq Abdullah while commenting on the arrest of Kejriwal and others said, as per Srinagar-based news agency KNS, “People should step ahead and vote with full vigor in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections against those who are hell bent to destroy the essence of democracy, and its institutions in the country.

“We have to be united. Be it Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian or others. We have to walk should-to-shoulder in odd and even. We have to make India Bloc stronger so that the nefarious plans of divisive forces in the country will be dusted,” Dr. Farooq added.

“We are with you. We are not leaving this alliance till our last breath,” Dr. Farooq maintained.

Pertinent to mention here that Abdullah had in February said the party (JKNC) will contest the upcoming (parliamentary) elections alone.

“As far as seat sharing is concerned, NC will contest alone and there’s no doubt about it,” he had said in a presser.

Kupwara District Police Conducts Awareness Camp on Newly Notified Criminal Laws

Today, the District Police Kupwara organized a comprehensive awareness camp at Government Higher Secondary School, Kupwara, aimed at familiarizing students and staff with recently notified criminal major laws. The program witnessed active participation from all students and faculty members of the institution.

DSP Headquarters Kupwara, Mr. Mohd Rafee Rather KPS, delivered an insightful presentation, providing a detailed overview of the newly enacted criminal major laws. His presentation shed light on the significant changes in legislation and highlighted the benefits these laws offer to the common man.

A key focus of the lecture was on the provisions incorporated in the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita concerning women's safety. These thought-provoking insights sparked meaningful discussions among participants and underscored the importance of prioritizing women's security in our society.

In response to the engaging session, both participants and faculty members expressed their appreciation to the Kupwara Police for organizing such informative programs. *Srinagar, March 26:* J&K Peoples Conference warmly embraced scores of socio-political activists from diverse political backgrounds, hailing from Budgam and Kupwara districts, showcasing the party's growing influence and appeal among the people.

Presided over by PC President Sajad Lone at the party headquarters in Church Lane, Sonwar, multiple joining ceremonies marked this significant moment of growth and surge in support.

With a warm welcome extended to all new entrants, Mr. Lone expressed his appreciation for the party's steady expansion and its increasing acceptability and support in previously underrepresented areas.

"The party leadership is dedicated to promoting inclusivity and narrowing disparities, ensuring that every district and community has a voice in shaping the region's future and receives a fair share for development," he affirmed.

He further reiterated the Peoples Conference's unwavering dedication to prioritizing the welfare of the people and driving comprehensive socio-economic progress.

From Wagoora Kreeri Constituency, Farooq Ahmad Chopan, Mushtaq Ahmad Chopan, Mohd Yousuf Chopan, Waseem Yousuf Chopan, Suhail Ahmad Najar, Mohammad Jameel Chopan and Danish Ahmad Chopan joined the party.
