Compassion in Action: Mohammad Faheem Reshi and Khalid Nayeem Visit Jagti and Purkhoo Camps

Srinagar, Jan 28: Mohammad Faheem Reshi, Greater Shah-re-Khaas Leadership Chairman, and Khalid Nayeem, Advocate Kashmiri Pandits, visited the Jagti and Purkhoo camps on Sunday on humanitarian grounds. * Reshi said that the plight of Kashmiri Pandits in temporary settlements, such as Jagti and Purkhoo migrant camps in Jammu, is a longstanding humanitarian issue. They are facing challenges such as inadequate housing, poor living conditions, lack of proper medical facilities, limited educational opportunities, and unemployment. Nayeem added that the residents of camps like Jagti, Purkhoo, Muthi, and others live in cramped quarters with insufficient infrastructure, struggling to maintain their cultural identity and social stability. They said that though over the years various governments have introduced rehabilitation and resettlement plans, the progress has been slow, leaving many Kashmiri Pandits disillusioned. Reshi said that despite the efforts to address their concerns, including the provision of jobs under special employment packages, scholarships for students, and promises of secure resettlement in the Valley, a comprehensive solution that ensures their dignified return and sustainable reintegration into Kashmiri society still remains elusive. Adding further, Nayeem remarked that advocacy for their cause continues, and highlighting their struggles is essential to ensuring long-term justice and rehabilitation for this displaced community.

Kralpora, 26th January 2025 On the eve of Republic Day, a special event was held in Kralpora to honor the exceptional dedication and commitment of SHO Kralpora, Ghulam Mohiudin. The occasion recognized his unwavering dedication to duty, his exemplary service to the community, and his tireless efforts to maintain law and order in the region. During the ceremony, SHO Ghulam Mohiudin was presented with an Appreciation Letter as a token of gratitude for his remarkable work and cooperation with the people. His proactive approach in addressing public grievances and fostering a sense of security and trust among the residents has set a high standard for public service. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, Tehsildar Kralpora Engineer Manan Ahmad,local Citizens, and residents of Kralpora, who applauded SHO Ghulam Mohiudin's contributions.
